  • Was just looking for a basic light for my son's bike (in case he rides out past dark). Perfect!

    • Gotta be home before the street lights come on.

  • No deal, cheaper on Aliexpress

    • not much cheaper $5 each and free shipping is up to 47 days. assuming amazon is quicker than that probably worth extra $4 for faster shipping.

      • The point is that posting a deal with a code for a fake discount doesn't make this a bargain.

        Seems more like free advertising.

        • hmmm subjective opinion. getting them inside of a week rather than 2-3 months could save some ones life.

          • @rakeem: This is Ozbargain not Ozfastestshipping.

            • @WatchNerd: saved childs life for $15 is not a bargain ?

              • @rakeem: That's not mentioned in the Deal Posting Guidelines.

Is this really the best price on the web? Check for the lowest prices.

                • @WatchNerd: yeah so those rules justify if you want to neg the deal (which you haven't done ?). doesn't stop me or anyone else from disagreeing with your opinion.

      • Agreed.

By the time you add GST, and have about a one in four chance of a seller not shipping an item, faking tracking or outright messaging you insisting on more money to be paid before they'll ship the item - none of which AliExpress will take any action against - I'd happily take this deal for delivery inside a week.

  • These bad boys are very bright!

  • Same as the Aldi lamps. they are bright, but got some quality issues. Mine wouldn't charge anymore after 6 months of moderate use (the charging connecter was broken I guess)

    • note that you can find the same for 5$ on Aliexpress…

      • $5 each

    • With mine I thought they were broken but then realised that the USB port is recessed so they would only charge with their own Micro USB cables which appear to have a slightly longer than normal connector

  • No 1 rule with all LiPo/LiIOn batteries is DO NOT leave them fully charged and unused. 30-50% charged, generally that means 3.5-3.8V standing voltage.

If you leave them charged, the contained energy eats away at the chemistry layers and the battery won't charge properly, or generate power for long, if it does at all. Esp these things, they have very simple internal charge control circuits.

    • +1

Don't know why you're getting negged, this is good info, best to try and aim for 50% charge to maintain battery life.

If using it everyday, then F it, it's probably worth ruining the lifespan of the battery to make sure you don't get stuck without lights halfway through your bike trek

      • Maybe I get negged because someone bought some $2 craplite. It failed, so defo, OzB is at fault ;-)
