Hi,
I'm interested in getting one of these fire pits for the backyard. I've got travertine pavers and was wondering if the fire pits with raised legs (link below) are ok to use. Will there be any heat damage to the pavers (other than soot, ash etc). I'm thinking of getting of of those heat proof mats I see on Amazon to place underneath.

The ash and the rust from the metal legs could mark the stone.
Thanks. I'm planning on moving it to another area when it is not in used but I get what you're saying.
Had multiple firepits throughout life. Spent a small fortune from firepits to chimenea's.
Most firepits will rust through after a period of time. Jumbuck is renowned for this so make sure you keep out of the elements. Chimenea's are definitely a better option but it comes down to choice.
Im currently using an old Weber Kettle that I removed the legs from and sitting on pavers. Best firepit Ive ever had!
