Seiko Presage SRPD97J for $499 Delivered @ Linda and Co

160

Somewhat of a rarer presage model, now $70 less than the previous deal (2020).

While this does have a premium over normal presage models, this one has sapphire glass rather than hardlex as well as a 38mm size compared to the 40mm+ presages.

  • Can this and other timepieces from quality watchmakers be put to use as a high-yield investment?

    • +1

Probably not this one in particular but other, more saught after models can be. Usually limited edition ones or ones no longer being manufactured.
Examples from Seiko include SARB033/SARB017/SSA363/SSA361 which are now selling far above their original retail price

    • Not really, has to be very specific and in demand models, e.g. older Seiko Monsters, some rarer SARBs (SARB037 is a good example) and especially JDM models. Of course, steel Rolex will always be very valuable and turn a tidy profit assuming you can get a hold of one.

Newer in stock models of Seiko which aren't JDM likely won't net you much unless it's really rare.

    • Just get a god tier casio and you'll be right

  • Shows as OOS.
