Currently got a package being delivered by vpost, so far so good I guess, been fairly straight forward. Had a query and they got back to me fairly quick.

Saying that I haven't had a tracking update since the order was provided to auspost on 8th July, hopefully it starts tracking in Australia soon…

    • Thanks for sharing. Our customer service team are people responsive so do reach out to them if in doubts.

  • looks like a pretty useful service if the pricing is good

is this the same thing as dropshipping?

    • We try to keep our shipping rate economical. We are definitely cheaper in comparison to DHL or Fedex and some similar Shipping company :)

We manage to kept out US to Australia to the lowest as compare to other shipping companies.

We are not the same as dropshipping. We service end-consumers, however SME or e-commerce/ online shop do use our service to ship their merchandise via, as we are able to offer a competitive rate for low to mid range quantity.

      Hope that answers your question.

Just about to have a large delivery arrive at vPost Oregon office. Will keep you all updated.

Ok package arrived and the chargeable weight and price quoted was exactly as I expected (15.2kg - $220). I asked the US seller to weigh and take photos of the opened and closed box before they posted. Used the code from this deal and got 25% off. So far so good!

(to save you the trouble of looking, I have been positive toward ShopMate in the past so I definitely appear like a SingPost shill but definitely no affiliation, I just like things that are easy to use and are good value)

      • Thanks for sharing the experience. If you like vPost, please do share your experience with your friends and family. :) and TGIF!

      • Packaged arrived in Canberra on the first day of the estimated time frame given by vPost. Very happy with the process, customer service, price and shipping time.

Only annoyance was that the tracking information was not updated regularly.
        23 July: Given tracking number.
24 July: Status was "Shipping information received by Australia Post"
        Long wait
3 August: "Received and ready for processing" in Sydney
        4 August: Delivered to Canberra.

I suspect vPost may bundle up many packages in the US and ship together to Sydney, then attach an AusPost domestic label on it and put in domestic mail. The postage sticker on the box definitely looked like it was generated in Australia and had a return PO Box in Minto NSW.

Anyway, happy customer here. Will use again if needed and there is a discount code that makes the pricing competitive.

        • Yep, they use China Airlines Cargo to ship a heap to Sydney and redistribute from there

  • Small review in case anyone finds this in search.

Overall they were okay, but slow. Communication was good when i had to ask a couple things. Parcel first showed up on my auspost account July 8th, but wasn't shipped with the cargo company until the 12th, arrived in Sydney on the 16th. Finally showed in Brisbane yesterday and i picked it up today at the post office. There wasn't really any tracking throughout this time, until i asked for some tracking details for the trip to Australia.

On the other hand, a friend ordered a parcel from the same company in America but used shopmate and their order arrived almost 2 weeks ago (I used vpost to test it out and had the discount). Considering the shipping costs are fairly close, it's a bit hard to choose vpost again over shopmate. They also repacked my items and little too tight..made my toy a bit squished but it should be okay, it lowered the shipping cost though, so that was good.

All in all, they were fine, just slower than i expected, even with COVID delays around. Would probably use again for other countries, not sure about America though!

    • Hi Happychild100,

Thanks for your honest review. Will feedback to my operation team so we can do better in future :)

    • Interesting review :)
I have just used them for the first time (due to discount code) and have used Shopmate a few times also.
Looking forward to seeing how the perform in comparisons given prices are similar.

One thing i would add, i have sent email to their customer service email 5 days ago and am yet to get a response.
This is a big put off for me, Shopmate are just as bad (auspost)

      • Hmm that's odd, i was getting a response on the next day. Did you email [email protected]? That's the one i used.

Curious to see how your shipping goes! As i said, perfectly fine, just slow, considering my friend and I ordered the same day.

        • Yeah they always got back to me within 24hrs when I emailed [email protected]. Try replying to the status emails they send and putting that email so they have all your reference details.

      • Hi let me know if you have not heard back from the CS team. It's very unusual for them not to reply within 24 hrs. :)

  • you would have been better off listing what you do ship, as opposed to what you dont. it might have been a smaller list then.
    https://vpost.com/au/faq/important-vpost-shipping-guidelines…

I am working on something that I might need to get shipped, I have sent you a PM. Thanks

    • Hi,

Thanks for reaching out, I have replied to your enquiry :)

Hmm… We do ship a lot of things, I think that list will be infinite if we were to list it all out. LOL

But thanks for the suggestions, will feedback to the operation team :)

  • do I have to use the merchants listed on your site?
    https://vpost.com/au/china-merchants/

Or it can be any seller I know of, as long as my seller posts to the vpost address in China?

  • Hi,

You can shop at any of your favourite online merchants. So long they are within the 9 source countries – The USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.

Yes , just provide your Unique VP ID and the vPost Address in the specific country you are buying from.

The concept is as if you are shopping like a local :)

    • Hi, i sent few emails to Vpost about my parcel, but so far no one reply. I even messaged them through Messenger and no luck either. Can you help or point me in the right direction? TIA
