Have been looking for a while. This will satisfy wife after all my camera deals. Still don't know why this airfryer so expensive compare to K-mart one but she'd know.
Apart from unreal deal, this seems to be the lowest as per camelcamelcamel and ozbargain history

Still don't know why this airfryer so expensive compare to K-mart one but she'd know.

    Because they are bloody awesome.

    Source: own one

I don't think the HN deal you linked was honoured

Well looks like they didn't honour it, just got an email to say order is cancelled and will be refunded, however as a gesture of goodwill, they will be providing a $20 gift card

This will work for years after the Kmart one explodes

Or destroys your bench. There was a report it cracked a stone bench.

Doesn't it's egress fan point down, unlike the philips one which is at the back..

  • I’ve got the small K-Mart one ($59/49) and find it very good, so I’m sure this will be good, especially with the double stacker accessory to allow you to do more.

It’s hard to see the almost x10 difference in the cost though.

    • You pay for the brand.
Phillips is much better than the cheaper ones in kmart, bigW, Aldi etc..
But the price hike is too much. They do last 3+ years easily.

      • Mines done 5 so far

You cannot compare it to KMART air fryer. And if I hear one more person saying the KMART one is just as good…then you are speaking out of your b*mhole.

  • how long does it take you guys to cook chips from frozen to crispy? I bought another brand with a rotating basket, but after the preset 15mins 200deg, they are still soft and floppy. It didn't say to add oil to frozen chips, but maybe that would help? I didn't overload the basket or anything at all. And maybe a flat tray would be better?

    • 18 minutes @200°C

      No oil.

      Perfect.

      • are you laying them flat, or are they half piled on top of each other?

        • Random pile

        • Mine is a random pile, for 13 minutes at 185, shaken to mix at 7,6,5 or 2 minutes depending on when I remember to shake.

    • The best way to cook chips I find is to cook it to just under done.
Take it out and let it dry.
Then recook it till it's golden brown.
It comes out nice and crunchy on the outside and still soft on the inside.

People crazy about kmart stuffs because they never have other brands that cost 10x more.

  • almost bought one of these the other day but I'm now looking at the oven style air fryers instead as they can fit more without overlapping, seems better for things like cooking fish fillets.

Got a breville smart fryer oven and no longer use this. Much more versatile and frys just as well, take a little bit longer tho

      • Thanks for the recommendation, looks a little small though. After the lockdown I'll see if I can find one in store to look at and get a better idea.

IMO, nothing compares to the Philips air fryer.
Had an Aldi oven type air fryer, didn't like the way it cooks/heat the food.

Can't make that statement unless you have used every option available. The breville air fryer oven is just as good as this with more use and I have both

I have tried other so-called air fryers and none have come close to PHILIPS air fryer. If you want even cooking top and bottom without turning over your food, then PHILIP is the only CHOICE. Everything just tastes better using the Philips air fryer.

  • We have used Micasa brand for 4 years, purchased @ Harvey Norman in New Zealand for $79 as Boxing Day deal and still working mint. The tray and inner basket have worn out and $50 to change both but Im hesitant to pay that thinking of how long would it last more???
