Just went back up to $22 after I put it in my cart

Same. Thanks anyway OP - great price, briefly!

I take some comfort in Duplo having such a short lifespan compared to Lego…

      • At least it's durable and sells good on gumtree

wow, had mine sitting in cart for about 5 min and still got it at $13 with a few other pieces

Chatting with Amazon customer support to see if they can do anything. That 1-click buy it now is a nasty trap.

No go with Amazon support. She confirmed the price had changed a split second before I purchased the item so it is my fault.

I reckon there should be some leeway where you can still get it for that price if you have seen it on the page. I literally saw the price then bought it. If I left the tab open for 15 minutes then it would be my fault if the price had changed but not seconds.

Imagine if you bought $50 worth of groceries and the staff said OK now you can paywave and in the motion of moving my hand to the eftpos terminal and its about to beep they said PRICE IS NOW $100 beep THAT'S WHAT YOU AGREED TO. NO TAKE BACKS!

That's one hell of a micro sleep!

    • Go to the order and simply cancel it ( 3-4 clicks ) .

      • +1

Yes. I got customer service to cancel it.

the revised amount was shown to you at the checkout page and you still clicked the "Place your order" button.

        1. Landed on $13.48 page
        2. Clicked Buy Now
        3. Clicked Pay

All happened in the blink of an eye. I don't scan my groceries and see their price and agree to it then check all of their prices all over again seconds later just prior to payment to see if the business is trying to pull a swifty. I don't know why you think Amazon is OK to do it.

They could easily code in some kind of giant warning that the price has changed since I landed on the page but they do not.

        • After you clicked Buy Now, it will take you to the checkout page.
You should have checked the price before going further and clicked the Place your order button.

          • @PissLUR: Didn't need to. I landed on the page and bought it within seconds. I already saw the correct price a couple of seconds prior. I shouldn't need to recheck it for any reason. The onus should not be on me but Amazon for their poorly coded website. It's probably an intentional design.
