My god the difference in quality between these courses and the "free" courses is incredible.

You can actually understand and follow his lectures.

    • True. He is one of the best Instrutor in Udemy worth every penny.

  • I found one of his course free on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulprqHHWlng

Not sure if this is related to any of the Udemy courses listed in this post.

  • Comparing these courses with A Cloud Guru and Consera, which one is better ?

    • +1

I belive A Cloud Guru does not offer a course on Udemy now after their acquisition. I have their 2020 AWS SAA on Udemy and its good.

  • I've not finished the course yet. But my take so far. First, the materials are not hosted on Udemy itself. Instead, it takes you to the instructor's own website, which I found a bit annoying.

    • Can you share any more impressions so far? Are you doing Neal's course?

In summary, Neal probably goes into more detail that is required to pass. If you can afford it get both.

      AND

Where Stephane and Neal both drop in to say they're both great.

      • Thanks for that link. I will go with Neal which is on discount right now. I have to give the exam in three weeks and I am not prepared :)

I was going to give it the exam in 2020 so got the A CloudGuru on udemy but didnt give the exam then.

        • How did you find A cloud guru though ? Did you end up not doing it ?

          • @ModBot: A cloud guru is good, I just got lazy and didnt study in 2020 so rescheduled the exam twice, I cannot reschedule it now so now I have to give the exam.

A cloud guru have not updated the course for 2021 due to their acquisition I assume.

Stephane's course is now discounted to $16.99!

Hey, so I went with Neal's course based on your comment which was a good decision. I passed the test.

If you are in Melbourne, beer is on me :)

        • Just the Udemy course ?

          • @ModBot: Neal's Udemy course and Neal's practice exams which were on discount as well.

I tried another course from Stephane and I was disgusted by the way he was focusing only on exams and his disregard for actual learning. There were situations where he started giving out handouts to memorise following that up with "trust me, that's all you need for the exam".
I actually ended up buying Neal's course afterwards to understand the concepts that Stephane didn't explain.
If you ONLY want to pass the exam and don't care about learning, Stephane's course is the way to go. But if you are interested in learning and really want to understand the concepts, avoid his courses.

  • Hi, guys
Anyone please help me that can I get job after doing this?
or what will be the benefit after doing this?

    Thanks

    • Depends on how you sell yourself after the certification.

    • Many companies are moving to or are already on AWS so if you understand how it works it will help you in your work and you will also be able to tell others how the work should be done using different AWS stack.

may be better to buy directly on his website https://digitalcloud.training/aws-certified-solutions-archit…
all in one package for Solution Architect is $24.99

    • That is just for 1 year access whereas Udemy is for lifetime.

It's hard to tell at the moment. That was what I thought initially with aCloud guru courses on Udemy. Problem is, aCloud guru no longer updates the courses I purchased on Udemy. Yes, I still have access to them, but they are now considered outdated.

Things could get muddy with courses from creators also having their own sites. Once they become bigger, they don't care about their equivalent courses on Udemy. It is an issue for certification courses, I still have a couple which I haven't gone through and they are 2020 versions, which are no longer valid for 2021. You actually cannot buy those courses anymore so it is clear aCloud guru won't update them anymore.

This is from a different provider (hopefully, this provider won't grow too big too quickly). However, I think to be on the safe side, buy them if you intend to do the certifications soon. Don't pre-purchase too many of them in advance.

        • Neil also has slack channel where you can ask questions while you preparing and community answers and also neil answers actively.

I agree with netsurfer that you need to have access to latest course to pass the exam so having liftetime access is not advantageous

    • That's USD.
