  • Also a bigger one that also has a wireless charger on it for $101.99

  • Will it charge phones?

    • As per the 5th image on the Amazon link. That's a yes. You can use it to charge a phone.

In saying that if you only going to use to charge a phone. Better get another cheaper power bank.

  • Read the Amazon page
The portable jump starter battery pack is designed with 21800mAh, QC3.0 outputs for charging your devices faster and compatible with almost all USB charging devices – including cell phones, tablets, digital cameras. Charging is fast and efficient

  • Thanks, bought one.
My wife's car didn't start this morning. She hadn't driven it much due to COVID stay-at-home orders and lock-downs. I'm sure these are going to come in handy for many people.

    • +1

      Did it start the car?

      • +1

Shipping isn't that quick… I jumped it with another car. Next time it happens, I'll be ready to use this device.

You need Amazon Prime Drone Edition. ;-)

  • reckon this will be OK for a motorcycle ?

    • Yes, but the problem will be attaching the big clamps to the battery (or being able to get them near the terminals). You wouldn't need one that big either. I did a search for motorbike ones and they generally are the same thing, but with much smaller battery packs and more expensive! I'd connect some charge wires to the terminals (and just leave them on all the time) and use them to either charge or jump start.

If you cant work out how to do that - this kit ($150) includes stuff to do that:

      • Not sure if one of these jump start packs can do a maintenance charge such as the kit from link above.

That might be a feature of that model, but not standard.

        • No I meant just use the same leads to connect a charger.

          • @wfdTamar: That makes sense. Wonder why they sell the set with leads then?

            • @ozhunter68: The little ones with eyelets to use as I suggest. The big clips for cars?

  • Does that mean I no longer need to replace batteries … Continue to jump start my car with this when my battery is dead.

    • Well, you could stretch the replacement point, or get through winter without having to worry about getting stranded.

It's worth getting a charger too to give your battery a boost through winter, particularly if you don't regularly drive.

      • Do you know if any car charger that can plug into a jump starter like this? I live in an apartment and do not have any powerpoints in the basement carpark so I cannot use something like CTEK MXS 5.0

        • That won't work then. A charger needs a power point. These little things are really only meant for emergency starting, but if you left it on for a while it might charge the battery a bit. You could just do that multiple times until the battery is charged - recharge it in your flat, then connect to the car, repeat. However, I suspect that may overheat them. Best bet would be to use it to get the car going then get to where you can use a plug in charger.

    • If you keep driving with a faulty battery that doesn't hold charge, you will be stressing out your alternator eventually.
