    I’ve not used a Dyson so I’m obviously biased but on paper I don’t see how you could compare the two. The T20 is (supposedly) far better.

    I have a T20 and it’s been absolutely amazing so far.

  According to the ebay listing, the charger and docking station are not in the box. They are explicitly listed for other refubished items.

      The charger and docking station are not in the list of items in the box. It is for other refurbished products, eg. V8 Animal Extra.

      Should that be a concern?

      Double the warranty period, plus this (if you want your $400-500 purchase to look new)

        True, some people need it 100% brand new.

        But my assumption is it's going to be "slightly cosmeticly marked" after the first month, it's a vacuum cleaner, after all; and re the warranty - it's supposed to work for a reasonable time, according to ACL, which is usually two years, right? Not sure if ebay and paypal are adding some security here too. Happy to be corrected.

          @pizzaguy: I didn't think ACL applied to refurbished goods.
          ACCC states

          A refurbished good or part is likely to be considered as a used good/part that has been reconditioned or restored to an acceptable working order.

          So it's considered used. It could essentially have been used for 18 months before being replaced on warranty and refurbished.

  I bought a V8 refurb from Dyson's ebay In Feb last year and haven't had any issues with it.
  Other than not being in retail packaging it looked pristine when we got it and has performed fine since them.

  I bought V8 Absolute for $499 (two more head than this one) last year. It came in a plain Dyson box with refurbished sign on it. Everything looks new (no used mark, no strange smell) to me but they were all packed separately with plastic bags. It works no problem at all. Dif worth refurbished one.
