  • I wonder how it compares to submarine 2.0

    • +1

      both are failed products

  • 319 units available suggests the entire container was compromised, might have leaked in transit or something.

    • still gets 2 years of warranty though

I'm of the belief that almost always there's zero damage and it's just a way for seller to offload the product at below RRP without breaking any price agreement .

      • Nice one, thanks for the explanation. I wasn't concerned given the 2yr warranty is included, more curious as to why a large number of the same item might be "box damaged".

  • +4

    These are absolutely shithouse.

I have a corded tineco steam mop (~$600), cleans hard surfaces brilliantly. Cord is a pain and the machine is bulky, but it's the only way to get a proper steam clean with no detergents.

I suspect the shark mops are better than this Dyson.

Can confirm. Trialled it for a month and sent it back.

In my experience with Sony/Dyson "box damaged" = we need an excuse not to upset full retail paying clients by dramatically discounting our product, nothing actually wrong with the box. Any Ozbargainers agree?

    • +1

Yes, from all these box damaged Dyson posts, with 100s of units available each time, yet to hear from anyone with a damaged Dyson box. I said a similar thing previously.

  • There is a new model for the 2nd generation

I bought this at $1000 and returned it. I wouldn’t even buy it for $400.

Believe the reviews, it truly is terrible and a waste of time.

    • Same here and good luck for those who buy this item.

  • Bought it from the last deal, nothing wrong.
I'm happy with it for $450, dual roller does a better job than my Bissell.
The downside is the maintenance, but I'm the kind of guy that does take the roller out to clean after every run, so it is not a downside for me at all.

    • Same with me. Bought at $450. I wonder how low they will go??

We have hardwood floors and each time the dirty container has grey water from mopping. Floor dries pretty quick. Obviously can’t get into the corners. Cleaning is easy, slide the tray out, rinse. And then put fresh water back in and push the button for cleaning cycle to flush the rollers (more grey water comes out).

I’m not sure what people expect from this mop to call it shithouse.

  • i think all other brands going towards hot mopping and self-washing station nowadays?
