Lavazza MilkEasy Electric Milk Frother for Cappuccino and Latte $59 Delivered @ Lavazza

130

I was in need of a new milk frother and purchased the MilkEasy, cheaper from Lavazza direct than amazon ($79) where it has good reviews and half the price of the highly rated but bigger Breville milk frother.

I've tried the mini whisks but found them terrible, and the larger Breville needed a minimum amount that was too much for me - benefit of this one I can see is that it only needs a 1/4 cup of milk to froth and heat and I just want it for single cups of coffee.

  • Would this work with soy/almond/oat milks?

    • +1

Pretty much all the frothers work with those milk types. Its just less foamy. If its a decent foamer it should work fine, barista versions of alternative milks foams up way more.

  • is it wireless? easy to clean?

    • Seems like it has a 360-degree base that's plugged in, like electric kettles have

Is this better than the aldi milk frother for $30? https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/pantry/coffee/coffee-de…

    • Looks the same, volume and function wise. Picked up another Aldi one on Gumtree for $6 when mine carked it. Expressi.

i have this at home and at work, from the 2 functions it either makes too much froth or not much froth at all.

  • OP do you know what the minimum amount is for the Breville version? I was thinking of getting one of those.

I believe it was just under a cup, so it's okay if you like a big or really milky coffee (saw some reviews that said they tried less than that amount, not sure how well it works).

      • Thanks sounds ok for me. I predominately use it to make a large coffee for the commute to work.

Best thing to do with this one.. break up about 30-40g of good quality chocolate, add milk, turn on, and enjoy some awesome hot chocolate 👌🏼

    • Many spoonfuls of Milo does the trick too

Used to be free as bonus few years ago. The volume is not great and mine was broken after few months ( got replaced by warranty).
    I recommend Breville BMF600.

    • Have to agree, makes nice milk but is an absolute pain to clean.
The Breville I've had for over 15 years(1st one was dodgy but Breville replaced it). Both of the Breville models work by induction and most importantly are stainless steel and jug still perfect after 15 plus years.
Lavazza also do a smaller stainless steel jug one too ( which I have for work that lasted at least two years before dying) for around $79.

      • How do you clean it?

I bought the Bpreville BMF600 Milk Cafe Frother for $99.95 two years ago but have to put it away as it stinks really bad if I only rinse it after use.

        • Breville- either toss it in the dishwasher or would rinse it twice with cold water and let it dry on dishrack.
The $59 lavazza one here we used to fill it with warm soapy water and soak it then try our best to clean it , would take ages to clean.

        • Wipe with warm soapy water rather than plain water.

  • Love coffee, but seems a bit of an outlay to buy a single function device for $59?

  • $15 K-mart frother seems to work 'as well' as the ones here - hard to clean, either too much foam or not enough.

which makes me happy I only spent $15.

  • I heat my milk in the microwave and whizz it up in my old Breville milkshake maker. Better foam than most of the local cafes!
