Can I Get The Usual Amazon.com.au Cashback (up to 7% with ShopBack) if I Pay Using ShopBack Gift Cards (with 2% Cashback)?

It does mention on ShopBack website that Amazon gift cards are excluded from cashback, but just wanted to double check if I am specifically using ShopBack gift cards.

Thanks

  • Hey mate, great question!

Yes, you can earn Up to 7% Cashback on eligible products/categories when you pay with amazon gift cards you purchase from us.
If the item you're looking at falls into a category we pay 0% on, you won't get any Cashback, but you've technically saved since you paid 2% less for the gift cards.
"Amazon Credit" is a completely different thing, and they do not earn Cashback. Just thought I'd highlight this :)

This is also the same with eBay, where you can earn Cashback on eligible products/categories with our eBay gift cards.

Almost all of our other merchants do not allow this though.
Most will decline cashback if you use a gift card.

If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a DM.
    Cheers!

    • So gift cards purchased elsewhere won't get the Cashback?

      • Yep, any Amazon order paid with any Amazon Gift Card will earn Cashback.
I specifically mentioned our cards as the question asked about them :)

Sorry my bad, thanks for clarifying

  • About half way down this page it says

    • Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)

    https://www.shopback.com.au/amazon-australia

    • It does not mention Amazon credit anywhere on that page.
