SHPING is a Shopping Rewards App. You scan your receipts and product barcodes to earn coins. Then withdraw the equivalent AUD to your bank account.

But they have a bonus for adding buddies (either by signing up through someones link or just adding them on the app). The buddy bonus is double sided. But the amount of coins received is sort of random as it depends on the level of the buddy who either referred you or added you.

• Basic = 2174 (approx $1)
• Bronze = 2608
• Silver = 2828
• Gold = 3261
• Platinum = 4350 (approx $2)

Once signed up you can add as many people as you want. And they can add you back which means you both receive the bonus.

I'm not affiliated with them at all. But I've personally had this app for about a week and even without adding buddies I have already accumulated approx 90,000 coins ready to cash out ($20 worth). Mainly from scanning barcodes, writing reviews, adding photos of products without a photo, and uploading my receipts.

You start out on the Basic level and the rewards for activities are the following:

• Barcode scan = 45
• Store checkin = 86
• Add receipt = 434
• Add product = 434
• Star rating review = 20
• Adding text to a review = 41
• Adding an image to a review = 62
• Adding video to a review = 417
• Share review on your social channel = 434
• Friend invite = 2174

    How is it false? I just went on their facebook group and added 18 buddies via their links which all show up on my account now

  Looks interesting. It seems the main purpose of the app is to scan items to see what the price is at other stores, like an app version of pricehipster, with the coins being incentives for participating. In exchange they get to build up a database of which products are where, and how much they're selling for.

  I don't get that math though. If the platinum buddy bonus gives you 4300pts, worth $2, how is 90000pts, 20x times as much, worth only $20?

    Yeah pretty much. Plus I think some brands might pay them to be "featured" and collect reviews on the products.

    As for the math… It says my 90,000 coins are worth $20 AUD in the app and that I can withdraw that much to my bank. Couldn't remember how much it said for 4300 since that was a long time ago. Since it's actually a cryptocurrency I looked up the price of 4300 SHPING coins on coinmarketplace which gave me approximately $2 AUD. Thanks to your comment I now realize I shouldn't have calculated it like that.

    Seems like the exchange rate on coinmarketcap is a lot different. So I guess more like $1 for 4300. But could be $2 if you withdrew it to an exchange and sold it there instead.
