Is this a deal? 3c's says the average price is $19.26 … lowest is $14.19. Seems to be $19 most of the time, I guess the outliers skew the average.

    Legendary con man more like

    • Please explain 🤔

I personally think musk is a bit too flashy over substance…but sales is a part of being "smart". I watched parts of that but I don't have 25mins to burn. The solar roadway bit is just R&D. You invest money to bring down cost, and increase scale. Of course it wasn't economical at the start. Neither were electric cars, win turbines, solar panels, etc. It needs investment to bring down costs. He's also absolutely insane, possibly a fairly insufferable git, not a nice person, and makes wild claims. Some work (cars) and some dont (roads).

But in terms of the original point, he's no more "con" than any speculative investment (R&D projects, futurists, etc.)

its interesting, its seems humans want a mythical human creature to follow and idolise, we make musk

Knowing Musk's failure to deliver promises, this will be a notepad of sketches he coloured in but couldn't colour between the lines.

      • It's a biography, not an autobiography

Which plays to his failure to deliver and moving the goal posts

      • -1

SpaceX has single handedly advanced commercial sat launches, insanely lowering the average price of any given company putting their sat in space.
And the cost of each of those launches (to SpaceX) continues to lower every single time their boosters successfully return.

And this is before even talking about the potential benefits (to both Elon and the wider global population) of the very-LEO Starlink constellation.

None of this is to excuse or cover for his delays or even failures, but IMO on an overall test, he’s doing good by his own companies, and the world.

I'm not saying he's done nothing. To me his word still somehow causes hype after all the promises he hasn't delivered and it's just so weird to see people seemilgly obsessed with what he says but not as obsessed to fact check what he's claimed and delivered. He has cried wolf so many times claiming he can do things cheaper and better when they're often over-complicated and he just lies about the cost of the competition, but not many people have ignored what he claims yet. He can still tweet and change market values.

Sigh. Just go link above and educate yourself. You won't regret it.

Some people tunnel vision in on a person's failings and ignore the obvious net benefit that they contributed. Most people don't though, so that's fine.

At least he didn’t have a public dick length contest with another billionaire on whether he’s going past the Karman line (international definition of space vs NASA definition etc). That was pretty sad to see, fools they are.

I'm sick of wearing my Elon Mask

Legend….and Musk. What a joke. He is a very good salesman with a cult following and a brilliant mind behind some of the things his companies do but he has also failed to deliver on timelines numerous times. A famous example being Tesla’s FSD. On the front of SpaceX, they are doing some great things and has a huge potential to dominate space satellites and space exploration areas in future. People who invested in Tesla in the last few years can’t thank him enough for multiplying their investments hundreds of times and in some cases thousands of times.

  • He has engineering smarts but his empathy & skills to relate to humans suck. His aversion to workplace unions, like bezos (yes I don't capitalise his name), is legendary. As George Carlin aptly said "a rich trouser stain"
