The deal is similar to the previous one, where the item is free when you're logged into an account and you just have to pay shipping. It appears that there isn't a requirement to share like last time.

Description from website:

  • The i3E is an extremely compact flashlight with maximum 90-lumen output, all running off of a single AAA battery.

  • The i3E flashlight features a high-performance Philips LUXEON TX LED and a PMMA TIR lens that focuses the light to reach a distance of 44 meters.

  • The versatile i3E fits easily into a pocket or bag and can be connected to a keychain without adding significant bulk to your keys. Plus it's a slim smooth design that won't wear on your clothing or purse.

  • It is the perfect choice for a small, bright, and affordable light to take with you anywhere.

Max runtime is 70 minutes with a NiMH battery or 45 minutes with an Alkaline battery.

  • About to buy then I realize I only have rechargeable AA batteries. oh well next time. Thanks OP

  • Why does literally every Olight have crappy (or aged) LEDs and a cool white tint?

    • +1

Yeah, the cool white tint leds are a downer. Wish they offer something warmer tint

This kind of marketing works in favour of the seller big time, because if there is a fault with the product and you decide to claim a refund then you didn't actually pay anything for it so bad luck.

These ones were popular on Ozbargain back in the day & they take AA batteries - US$3.49 + GST delivered

good point, but i've yet to have a problem with olight torches. bought a $100 bike light and got an i1r2 eos free from last year's promos, both still working flawlessly.

    • Model T Fords were popular back in the day too. Doesn't mean it would be a good buy today.

The torch in that link has 4 different max lumens apparently, so I guess if it hits the lowest using a 14500… you'd be disappointed. And having a strobe in the main modes is an instant loose. And from my experience, cheap lights like that with 2 modes have stuff all difference between min and max. And probably a really purple or green tint.

You took my "back in the day" comment a bit too seriously haha.

That seller has 1006 orders & 539 reviews (85% gave it 5 stars) so I guess they're still popular.

        • Oh… so not quite back that far then… :D

But yeah, I reckon it's worth spending a few bucks more for something semi-decent.

      • Goddamn it. Instant lose. Lose.

        What a looser.

    • Good point about the marketing, Olight is the most deadly at marketing in the flashlight world.

That flashlight you linked is terrible though, much more likely to die than the Olight here.

I don't know my watches enough to draw an equivalent but it's like recommending a shitty $5 watch because it has received good reviews from people who would only buy it because it's cheap and they don't have anything better to compare it to.

  • Thanks, Signed up. Fingers crossed I'll remember come the 26th.

Have been wanting to give their torch a go following a recommendation for John Cadogan.

Just under the deal there is a little reminder button that you can set to send you a reminder email when the deal starts. It's under the report button

      • Finally remembered, but the email doesn't really help (just gets lost amongst the 5K+ unread emails in there). Bought

  • Warm tints and ultra-low modes are a must for me.

  • I've been happy with my Olight Striker MZ1 & i1r2 I got last promo.

    Thanks OP.

  • Thanks, just placed my order.
