    That's because the RRPs are total BS, like Citizen Eco-Drives listing for >$1000. They're like luggage prices: if you're paying more than 50% of the RRP you're being taken for a ride.

  I'd personally recommend this one for the money, its a much better deal adn a much better watch.

    Difficult to compare an automatic watch to a quartz.
    What makes you feel like it's a better watch?

      This watch is a Seiko 5 series, Malaysian made, automatic (+/-15sec a day) 100m rated.
      But I do own a few Seiko 5 series watches and love them.

      The SNE435J is Prospex series watch, Japan made, Quartz Solar powered and 200m rating with screw down crown.

  I think the Sumo Solar SSC757J @ $429 is also a good deal for the Seiko fans.
