      To clarify further, you can extend OR mirror. Mine (different brand, same style) sometimes doesn't give me the option to set resolution, but it automatically chooses the native 1920x1200 of my external screen, so no complaints :)

      If you can handle 30Hz on the desktop without wanting to vomit :)

      Not being a snob - 30 fps on the desktop is going to feel pretty rough for most people.

        30Hz is absolutely horrible! My work supplied dock refused to go higher than 1920x1080p @ 25Hz on my 1440p monitor. Was sickening to try and use. Had to use the Thunderbolt port on the laptop in addition to the dock (seems it wont support 2 x 1440p)
