I tested one of these the other day, true capacity out the USB was 13,967mAh, about what you'd expect…

Mine has always had a burnt electronics smell but it works ok…

      3.7 x 20000 / 5 = 14800mAh, so factoring in efficiency 13967mAh is probably quite accurate.

This may not apply to a lot of peoples buying decision, but this unit can not charge low power devices such as bluetooth headphones.

  • Looks like it's got a wireless charging pad - or is that just the visual design?

    • Just visual.

  • Can this charge MacBook Air 2018 (USB-c)?

    • I dont think 18w will be enough to charge it efficiently. you need one with like 45w.

  • I have this unit and the annoying thing is you need to use its charging cable to charge it. I tried other cables but the connector isnt long enough to fit deep into the hole to charge. I resorted to using a dremel to shave off some of the plastic housing around the port to fit in others.

I tried with 2 different micro USB and 2 USB-c cables (so at least 1 of each wasn't supplied with the unit) and they all worked fine.

      • my problem was that it didnt plug in deep enough to charge. Its the housing designs fault

        • Its the housing designs fault

How can it be? I used 2 different cables in 2 different ports, and all 4 cables worked fine. If there was a design flaw in the unit, then at least 1 of those cables should not have worked.

I shouldn't have to mention that I didn't make any modifications to the unit or the cables for any of them to work.

Maybe the cables you have are just too short … OR … maybe I have lucky long cables.

Were you trying Micro-USB or USB-c?

          • @photonbuddy: What I meant is the micro usb hole to charge the battery pack itself. The 2 usb ports for charging devices is fine.

You will notice that the charging cable for the unit has a longer metal connector
