Uber Eats Can't Refund My Money?

I ordered food from Ubereats and they cancelled my order as they could not find a driver to deliver food.

So looked through Q&A and they were showing that they gonna refund money in 10 business day.

It happend in April and I totally forgot about this order as they said they gonna refund that money back.

But I found out recently they haven't refund that money and I wrote about this issues to customer service in the app!

And that answer was

"We are unable to make adjustment for orders if the order was placed more than 30days ago."

This is like a scam! Danm!
Is there any way to get my money back?
Or any advices to where do I report about it?

Ghost account? I'd be fighting for a credit… but I certainly would have followed up sooner.

I am not ghost lol! I've been using Oz for a while. But I didn't need sign in as most of posting was opened for non-members.
Anyway Thank you for giving me advises!

If you went all this time without worrying about it why start now? Just delete the app and never use it again - justice served.

30 days sounds like an internal policy to tell you to go away. Doesn't sound legal.

If they took money, didn't render a service, then they have committed fraud. They've even said they will refund your money so it sounds like some internal process fell over.

Complain to the customer service team and say you'll raise it with fair trading, they don't take kindly to this sort of stuff.

Yes/no, but if you HAD a issue with your food order, surely you would have noticed this and make a request you know ummm well within 30 days. Most people don't want 6 weeks for the missing drink to show up before putting in a request for a refund ;)

Fraud is a little harsh at this stage, but yes if they took the money and cancelled the order without a refund, then yes they should be refunding it.

OP needs to go review some bank records to see if there really did take the money and if they really didn't refund it. Rather than just guessing.

    Welcome to OzRefunds.

A bit late now to decide to do anything about it.

Is it enough to worry about chasing up?

If you want to be petty, file a tribunal case for court costs and refund. Magistrate will slap ubereats.

Are you sure you had been charged in the first place?

    Chargeback.

Not sure if too late, but maybe a chargeback on the linked card?

I'd be writing strongly worded emails reminding them of their unreasonable policy of 10 business days (two full weeks), being designed to make people forget for this purpose. It's not good enough. If they refuse, gather your evidence and put through a chargeback.
