Refer-a-friend Programme Terms & Conditions:
ShopBack rewards you with a $25 bonus for every qualified new member referred.

(ii) makes a purchase ($20 min spend) via ShopBack
(iii) has his/her Cashback (from their first purchase) turned confirmed

For more detail on each point above:
i.i) Your friend must sign up via your link and not be overrided by another referral link. The last referrer link clicked will get the bonus.
i.ii) If referred via email, your friend has to input the referred email address when signing up on ShopBack.

ii.i) Referrals' first purchase must be a legitimate order non-stackable with other New Customer promotions (Eg. Bonus $10 Cashback promotions) ii.ii) Any cancellations, refunds or exchanges will not be counted to the qualifying spend.
ii.iii) The following merchants are excluded from the first qualifying purchase: Uber, Kayo Sports, DoorDash, Hayu, Accor Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group, ShopBack Vouchers (Gift Cards), Woolworths Gift Cards, Circles.Life. Please note this is not an exhaustive list and ShopBack reserves the right to add or amend the list.

iii) Your bonus of $25 will be tracked when your friend signs up and credited into your ShopBack account only when your friend makes their purchase and when their Cashback turns redeemable.

ShopBack reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to amend and vary the terms and conditions as set out above, as well as to disqualify any User at any point of time.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities that are not permitted and that will disqualify you from earning referral bonuses:
(i) self-referral,
(ii) posting your referral link on any ShopBack merchant's Facebook or forum page,
(iii) keyword bidding for the purpose of generating traffic to pages containing your referral link, and
(iv) any similar activity determined by ShopBack in its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose of ShopBack's Refer-a-Friend Programme.

ShopBack reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of this promotion. Any infringement of the above terms and conditions would result in the loss of all bonuses. Repeat offences would result in the closure of your ShopBack account.

  • I haven't got any of my referrals approved yet. Been over a year.

    • Did your referrals meet the $10 confirmed Cashback and add their withdrawal details?

      • I think having to add withdrawal details is what stops the bonus going through most of the time. It’s a bit annoying as people forget unless they use it often enough to cash out.

  • I could be swayed to join these guys. I use Cashrewards a lot. But I’ve never heard much good about Shopback. I’ve heard that a lot of purchases go untracked. I might just stick with CR.

I haven’t had a problem with ShopBack so far. Joined a few months ago and everything tracks fine. Worst case their support seems decent.

I use both sites because they run bonus offers at different times so you can pick and choose. And some places I buy from are missing from Cashrewards.

ShopBack also includes 1-1.5% at coles online and have better gift card cash back rates through the app.

Right now I think on top of the $25 for new customers there’s also a $10 gift card bonus and a “buy using chrome extension” bonus of up to $12 inside the earn more page of the app

      • Can you link the $10/$12 offer keen to know more

        • Unfortunately I don’t have any links and/or couldn’t link them even if they were in my account. As they are only available inside their phone app under “earn more” - and only show up for new sign ups.

They are things you activate/boost similar to offers inside Amex cards or Flybuys

My friend joined recently and has them there. The $10 gift card one is advertised on Facebook a lot though.

        • I just checked my one and it states in the T&C's that the offer gives up to $12. The actual offer is randomly chosen from either a cashback of $2, 4, 8 and 12. So that as you will

$25 and a personal info leak?

    • What do you mean? Did this happen in the past?

      • +1

Yes, but the more concerning issue is how they responded to the leak. A late weekend notification, and to me a sweeping under the carpet, and little assistance to those trying to remove their data and close their accounts. There is a huge discussion on a thread on this site.

    Any ideas what to buy?

  • Wasn’t it $30 last week?

  • I am using the random referral links on page. it gets me to the sign up page, I can also see who has referred the link (e.g. Mr x). Enter email and, mobile otp and password and then it takes me to download chrome extension. After doing all that it gets me to shop back page. When i try to sign in it says 'Email address could not be found'.

This has happened twice. what am i missing here

  • This is down from $30 :-(

    • The referred person only used to get $10 though so it's more likely for a friend to want to sign up if they get $25

    • +2

I think it was $30 for referrer but $10 only for referree. This is way better for the new user, slightly worse for referrer, which I think is fair

  • Made 1st purchase from chemist warehouse as new customer early in a day. Still no tracking, it shows in click history. Is it usually this slow to track or something has gone wrong….
