Anyone know any good deals on one with HDMI?

    • +4

      Kmart sell one.
Has PD(charge & data), SD card, micro SD and 2 usb ports

I'm using that for my WFH setup, other staff forked out for $200 docking stations, but this works a treat. They also do this if you only need the HDMI:

Do you run into any issues? I've heard to avoid the cheaper hubs as they have Mac compatibility issues. Also wouldn't want to risk killing a 4k device to save a hundred bucks.

          • @AH: 4K30 only so get a proper one if you need 4K60.

        • Can the usb-c port pass-through video too? I have a usb-c to DP cable and there's only one USB-C port on the SurfaceBook 2. Would need it for my monitor.

        • Anyone used this with an M1 Macbook? My $200 dongle from work can't seem to pass through power anymore more for some reason.

There are plenty of options on Amazon.

I just did a quick search and found this. My search term was 'HDMI hub'. Of course, be sure to do your own research to ensure it meets your needs.

For what it's worth, I bought this last year. No complaints with it.

    • I just bought the Baseus 5 in 1 (with 4k @ 60 Hz) on Ebay for 32 bucks using two codes.

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/294214013510?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkci…

      Codes were BASEUS20 and PSAVES15

got one for use with chromecast

    • How do you use it with Chromecast

      • +1

You plug it into the chrome cast port

        • And then what… Does it act as a USB media device for your TV?

          • @mrtee: It acts like a USB hub for your chrome cast, so you can connect other USB devices to it

            • @Jackson: my intention is to use the hub for splitting power to a chromecast audio and a separate chromecast video. The pd port will provide power to both and i can use an external dac for audio from the chromecast video for high res audio for movies (using a dell 4k monitor as my bedroom setup), usb hard drives is a bonus

    Great deal, much appreciated.

Showing as out of stock now 😢

  • Only available at campbelltown and bowral stores

  • +1

This really only gives you 3 USB ports, the power through options is pretty good but it’s never enough to charge a notebook fully.
Not a bad price buy you really need one with the a HDMI port as well.

Show me where I can find a quality one with 3 USB, hdmi 4k@60hz, PD for $19.

      This is a solid bargain.

  • Its available at their Campbelltown and Bowral store in sydney for pick up only

  • I kept thinking it is a powerbank and then realised it is a usb hub. So does it work by connecting the charger to this usb hub, then connect the usb hub to the computer, so does it make charging faster compare to charging via a charger only?

    • Same or slower. Probably slower.

  • Or sord out bye everyburry

  • Thanks OP. Bought one yesterday.
