    Was a bit tricky to find because it does not show up when comparing editions. But just found it and installing now.

    FWIW, I installed the game then signed out - I was still able to load the game (which showed up as the Eternal Collection), but that might be because it's my home Xbox which has Gold for all users when I have Gold.

    Is someone able to install it on a box that's not their home xbox and sign out to confirm if it can still be played?

    I found the Necromancer DLC is also free, you need to go into the game menu and select purchase DLC and it will show up as free in the MS store page.
    You can't claim the DLC for free in the store page directly.

      I don't think it's free, it still has the option to 'buy to own' which suggests it's only free while you have Gold.

    Thing is I have game pass, was a gold member before they killed it, I went in and downloaded the 38gb d3 theough the store and got it free, also got the necromancer dlc free and it all shows up in my owned games so definitely not a trial or weekend play for free promo. This is either a silent promo, if you find it and qualify it’s yours to keep type deal or it’s a pretty big stuff up on Microsofts part. Either way great find and thanks OP.

    I've heard this is actually pretty good with the expansions - can any less jaded fans back that up?

    I'm tempted to actually give it a try if I can justify the ~40gb download (unlikely)

    While it had all the theoretical parts of its predecessors, I found D3 a complete and utter letterdown, not to mention, an insult, with the auction house saga. Even after they eventually sorted out the worst grievances, the sum of the experience was less than all its parts, and with a childish art direction almost identical to WoW - what in the (profanity) were they thinking? Then sucked it so dry of any hint of challenge or player agency that might offend casual gamers, you could literally beat the game blindfolded, and you'd be better off for not having to look at its god awful palette.

    and then there's the Diablo Immortal faux pa -retching-

    Two colossal stuff ups for the annals of gaming history, that probably won't be remembered by publishers because people still lapped up this garbage at the checkout.

    Nah, (profanity) Acivision, (profanity) Blizzard and (profanity) the horse they rode in on.

    With all that being said, how could the expansions possibly redeem the travesty that is Diablo 3?
