          It have a zen3 6c12t cpu, a 144hz 72%ntsc screen, 2 sticks of 8gb 3200mhz in dual channel, 500gb tlc nvme, webcam, wifi6 and a 3060 that even at low power can still beat many 20 series cards out there. For a grand total of 1.5k.

          You are welcomed to show us any laptops with better specs at or around this pricepoint.

      The Omen 15's 3060 is 80w with a 15w boost. I tested it to pull 92w on the GPU while running Timespy. In typical gaming I see it at more like 85w most of the time. In light games, like Genshin Impact, it seems to be able to go under 80w. There is a 30w mode that is used in battery power or when manual fan speed is set under about 3100rpm.

        I am wondering if I should consider this as an upgrade from my current 1660Ti laptop - I am just in doubts that I will notice any improvements in 1080p gaming

        current machine is 1080p 17.3" 144hz, so this is also smaller

        on a second thought I will probably skip this as I don't want to sacrifice screen real estate even for some performance gains..

    this seems like a pretty good lappy for the price, im trying to find something for 3d rendering, creative cloud apps and image editing and im torn between a prebuilt desktop but they seem to be 1.5k more~ Obviously the desktops would be better performing, but would anyone recc this?

      For photo editing the M1 Macs are really good. I use a Macbook Pro and it runs lightroom much better than any other PC I had. Also has a very good and calibrated screen. Using Mac Os and windows together can be a pain though

      Otherwise this would be ok performance wise but the screen is not great. Maybe the Legion 16" QHD laptops would be a better choice due to superior screen

          Honestly I think the best value is to get the base model MBA with 16GB ram as sometimes when your at full load the 8GB is not enough, and just get some external storage to make up for the 256GB on the base model. Hope this helps!

            @daiwik: Thank you so much for your feedback. Do you have 8gb variant? I’d just be editing short (under 10 minutes) clip shot on my iPhone once a week or so. You still reckon I should opt for 16gb?

              @ashftc: I have the 16gb so i'm not sure how often the 8gb is filled up but, in your case you should be able to get away with 8gb ram, especially if you don't have much running in the background.

              @ashftc: The other good thing about apple is you can try it out for 14 days and return it if it does not suit your needs with no questions asked.

              For the cheapest purchase option wait for increased cashrewards cashback and get one from the refurb store. Same warranty and return policy applies but you can save about 20-25% over the RRP

      yeah refurbished pavilion gaming, but it has a crappy panel

      me personally I would recommend this dell
