fyi, if you are in WA, Spudshed is selling $1.99 this week special using Spudshed Apps. I received email notification from Spudshed.

  • I'm new to coconut water, but enjoying it as a sport's drink. I've tried several (not this one) but only really like the taste of the H2coco one.

I know it's personal taste, but how does this one compare? I note the H2coco is produced in Vietnam where all the others seem to come from Thailand.

    • +1

I personally like Cocobella and the one from Woolies.

      • I second this, additionally, there's a brand named Zico that Woolies used to stock, nowhere to be found now but Zico is up there too.

Cocobella is a great balance imo, its not too sweet and quite refreshing.

    • I like Raw C (it's also regularly on sale for $2.50 at Coles), but I've noticed that the taste varies by season or maybe by batch. Sometimes it's just the tastiest, sometimes it's ok but nothing special.

    • I like Raw C, whis is also made in Vietnam. I personally find Cocobella okay (but Raw C is a tad sweeter). Not a fan of H2coco, but their pink bottle (young coconut) is pretty good (that one is made in Thailand I think).

  • +2

They are normally $2.50 on sale at the supermarkets. Not much of a saving

    • +1

Yeah but free delivery if you have prime and even a little cheaper with S&S. Plus it's on sale now where as it might not be at the supermarkets.

      • +4

Whenever Amazon has it on sale, it is because they are price matching either Coles or Woolies. In this instance, Coles has it for $2.50 on sale now = $15 per 6. With S&S obviously makes it a better deal plus free delivery.

  • So if i do S&S do I lock in that price?

    • No but you can just cancel it

      • Can you cancel it immediately or should you wait for the order to be shipped?

        • +1

          You can cancel immediately

        • +4

I usually wait for it to arrive. You can set up the s&s for like 6 months so there's plenty of time to remember to cancel it lol

    • +1

Sub price is subject to change but the discount is still applied. Eg if it goes to $19 get 10% off $19. I cancelled my sub after seeing this. Cheaper to just wait for deals and stick up.

  • Fresh is the best.

    • got a coconut tree in your backyard?

      • Coconut trees are a fun Russian roulette.

  • thank god it's back in stock

i mistakenly bought the 6x250ml coconut water whilst this was out of stock.

    twice.

thankfully amazon sent me the wrong flavour the second time so i got a refund

  • Watermelon mint also on sale: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08ZD3XL9N?psc=1&smid=ANEGB3WVE…

    Bought this one to try.

    • +1

Likewise… I like coconut and watermelon, not so sure about the mint part but.

  • Thanks, bought another 6 boxes - love this stuff

  • OOS

  • Not OOS. I just bought it a few seconds ago.

  • back in stock now

Love this coco water. The RAW one is real bad. The next best one is Aldi's.

    • Yeah Raw C is Raw $h&#

  • +2

If someone has tasted real fresh coconut water, this doesn't taste anywhere close to it. I am not saying this is an exception but it's like most of those bottled pomegranate juices or prune juices which don't taste anything like real fruit or real juice. Do you agree?

    • +3

Grew up eating fresh coconut water and meat (do you call it coconut meat?) in Asia. Like.. from the back of a ute set up by the farmer to sell the coconut they just harvested kind of fresh.

Does cocobella taste as good? No. Does it taste close enough? Yeah.. actually it does. More so than any other brands I've tried in Australia.

      • +1

I agree it's better than Raw C for sure. You can't expect to be the same as fresh coconut. Too much hassle getting one fresh from fruit markets. So many exposure sites are fruit markets

    • Prune juice tastes exactly like prunes to me.

  • Good to get this delivered. Can't be stuffed risking to Woolies so many exposure sites in Sydney it's everywhere delta

  • Coles have this for $2.50 each atm which is also pretty good if you don't need 6L :)

  • Subscribe and Save working for anyone?

    • Nope, I swear I ordered it a few days ago with S’n’S but nope. Now just $15 with no S’n’S and dispatch in 2-4 weeks!
