I've never had a bird colliding my windows. Is there such problem?

Happened a few times to our windows…..you get left with a dust outline of the bird mid-flight.
and sometimes they break their necks (poor things).

Mudlarks seeing their reflection and attacking the windows .All day long !

    • Yes for houses near bushland with large windows on both sides so birds can see through

Cool story bro moment but I'm a human and ran through plate glass in 2003. Did quite a bit of damage.

Combination of running away from brother and rental didn't have any of the patterns you see the days, and my dad cleaned the glass earlier that day.

Probably still would of would through even if it had the birds lol

    • Sometimes.

    • It depends on the angle the light's hitting the window, & what's on the inside/outside - it happens here regularly. Sometimes, the reflection, or lack thereof, disorients them & they think they can fly through to escape something that's scared them, & they crash.

    $4.59 delivered here

Want to start importing these stickers to sell on OzAdvertising? Here's a Alibaba seller here for $2.19 for 6pcs

Just search AliExpress, Alibaba for "Window Sticker Birds" and "Window cling Sticker Birds".

Check out my comment here for how these I'm Alibaba importers work.

But those are 4, vs 18 for this deal. So this deal is much cheaper.

      • My bad, thanks for pointing that out! I just linked the first ones I can across, just procrastinating on OzBargain in-between Uni.

However they can still be sought cheaper from AliExpress and Alibaba, the only negative is it'll take a couple of weeks for them to arrive.

Sadly happens all the time for us - every few weeks we'll hear a thump and either find a pile of feathers (where they've been ok) or a dead bird. :-( We're rural, big windows on a big house. Most often the accidents happen when a lot of birds are nearby and then they're suddenly spooked by another species' alarm call (birds are smart enough to know when their relatives are yelling lookout) and we have peregrine falcons that hunt in this area (literally had one walking on our verandah!).

I dunno about the effectiveness of these - especially as they'd make your windows look damn silly.

Anything from the dove type family - have a very high rate of mortality, but Lorikeets must have front rower necks as those lil bugger always get up and fly away.

That from youtube, shows how it looks like birds attacks windows: https://youtu.be/Q_VHOLgEKts

Seriously, if this is a problem spend the money and get just get a one way mirror tint on your windows. It'll look a whole lot better than bird stickers stuck to your window and it will help keep the heat out a little in summer, which is when you probably want you blinds/curtains open.

  • Good to amuse babies. Adds colour to an otherwise boring window

  • The gaps between the birds on this decal may still leave some birds thinking they may be able to fit through, so they may not be completely effective. String curtains work well, as an alternative…
