        well I paid < $3.50 at height of first lockdown hysteria from Gym direct for bumpers.

        and now they are just under $3/kg: example:

        This is BEFORE any further discount (there should be still a 10% code still active, as well as 7% cashback on cashrewards.

        The customer service I got from them was abyssmal but price made up for it compared to everyone else who was out there trying to gouge people who wanted to stay fit.

          Hmm the plates you linked are different plates, they are cast iron with rubber coating.

          They calculate down to $3.80 per kg before discount ($3.42 with 10% code).
          We sell these at $3.50 per kg before discount, $2.97 per kg with discount.

            @Wiggles: ok fair - To be honest I thought they were interchangeable terms (as to me, weights are weights just want the cheapest sturdy plates as they are being kept outside, and will be dropped and thrown around, a lot. ).

            I'm not going to go verify best deal but if your deal works out to < $3/kg then I say good on you. That's a pretty okay price.
            But bargain? hmm not sure.

          Weight plates are not bumper plates. Compare BUMPER plates at the seller link provided and they are the same price before the discount.

    I think Sam's fitness still looks cheaper for bumpers from what I can tell:

    No point getting bumper plates unless you want to drop from head height.
    Better off just getting cast iron plates with rubber coating, which are less slimmer.
