Best Monitor + Keyboard & Mouse - $500

Hi OZB,

I'm a student looking to buy a monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse for a combined total around $500. I will be pairing these devices with a MacBook Pro 2020 M1 mainly for studying and productivity purposes.

If anyone is able to help point me in the right direction that would be wonderful. Thanks!

    Best is pretty subjective.

    IMO mx keys and mx master mouse is great

      +1 to MX Keys and MX Master Mouse (and MX Anywhere Mouse for when you need a more portable one)

      I can't agree with your MX Master recommendation. Sure, they are nice mice, but I have had two die out side of warranty.

      MX Anywhere's however seem to be built out of unobtainium.

      MX Key's are very nice, but too new to know if they are duds like Logitech's last gen of mechanical keyboards.

          The point isn't the type of switch, but that the switches are new to Logitech and Logitech has a problem with (relatively) expensive parts lasting the warranty but not much more.

        The MX Keys is nearly 2 years old.

    OP is asking for the monitor AND the wireless combo all up $500. MX keys + mouse will leave him limited budget for the monitor..
    My recommendation will be Dell S2719H sub $351~$370ish, Logitech MK850 combo sub $120~$130ish

    Spend $450 on the monitor and $50 on a second hand wireless combo.
