These are my favourite mice by far, however I have never had one last past 12 months without getting the double click problem from the switch inside the mouse wearing out. Currently using a SteelSeries Sensei Ten.

Mine last about 2 years. Worth it. I just treat them as consumables. My favourite mouse for FPS.

    • This. However I have repaired the one I use at work 3 times now. It's not hard, but a bit fiddly. Well worth the 10 minutes it takes to fix.

The one I used at home I repaired the button a couple of times, but eventually the mouse wheel coupling that connects to the wheel sensor snapped and that can't be repaired easily. Replaced with a Razer Viper corded with optical switches and am very happy a year later.

At this price, this mouse is a good solid buy if you don't need wireless, light weight and prefer a palm grip. Only downside imo is that the sensor malfunctions on shiny surfaces.

      • Can you PM the method? I honestly use one also for work and it has the double click glitch lol. The white one I use at home is still going strong and I have a Viper Mini as backup but I love the deathadders so much

        • I had an old one where the USB cable was intermittent and mouse wheel scroll and eventually clicked didn't work.

I bought the USB cable for around $4-5 and the wheel and other couple of bucks from eBay and managed to replace both.

Basically had to flip the mouse upsidown and take out a few screws (some could be under a sticker) then there's a few screws holding the circuit board on, can't remember if you need to remove it. It isn't overly complex though, might be a good video out there on it. The mouse wheel in particular is very repairable so I'll commend them on that. It does suck it's flimsy plastic though which is probably why it's broken more than once on me. Still cheaper than a new mouse. I've never had the double click glitch though so unsure about that

Good mouse. I have used many versions of this. Now using the elite version and looking for a wireless version.

    • There is a wireless version. The Pro V2 Wireless.

      • Yeah I know. I mean looking for a deal for that

    • I have used the deathadder earlier at my friend's place and its a great mouse. I have a G603, a very similarly shaped mouse but from logitech and a bit cheaper from Pro V2 wireless. Hard to go back to wired after using wireless.

Got my first Death Adder when it first came out for $100. Lasted me about 10 years before the left click died. Got the essential in 2016 and going strong except the side grip has fallen off (glue melts in the summer). For $31, definitely a good price but can't wait to replace my mouse with a wireless one once my DA finally dies

Get the Deathadder V2 Pro Wireless! It's an amazing mouse. I, like yourself, have used a DeathAdder for over 10 years.

I'll check it out. Have you tried the Basilisk X Hyperspeed? Seems pretty cheap for a wireless

        • Depends how large your hands are. The DAv2 is a bit fatter and longer, which I like. The Basilisk is for sure a great mouse if you use more of a claw grip or have small hands. :)

meh, not a bad mouse. good price
but FFS I can't stop it attempting to install the razor software EVERY time I plug it in.
I prefer my thermaltake or Zowie.

Using it for light gaming and work from home setup. Love it. Bought it $29 last year.

Harris Scarfe selling a Razer Mouse?? On Amazon??

  • razer ad videos on youtube are so over the top that it's hilarious

  • Good lord, I'm still running 2x logitech mx510's… they must be 15yrs old!

    • I have used 2 X mx518 for almost 8 years in home and office before shifting to wireless. They were such good mice back then. Great QC!

  • I have been borrowing a friend's deathadder elite (effectively v1) and it's been great. I ordered a deathadder v2 on amazon a month ago for $50 delivered from china. was lost in the post and the price has gone up now ):

  • 36 odd now

Excellent mouse for right handed people. Very comfortable for long gaming sessions. Had mine for over a year now and still works like new.

Even for non gamers it's a great upgrade due to the improvement in ergonomics and comfort.

  • I have a RAT mouse.

  • I thought Harris Scarfe collapsed?

    • $9.90 shipping for me though.

  • viper mini for $10 more 10x better
