Car Wrap Perth

Hi All,

I am trying to find a good place for a roof and apillar wrap for my car. Have been looking around but there are always mixed reviews and costs so want to find somewhere good that people trust.

Preferably after a place that would use 3M or avery. I am after a gloss black wrap

I am in the Perth region. Anyone have any good recommendations from personal experience?

Thanks in advance

  • I should have stated I am after a gloss black wrap, don't need anything fancy, just good quality and install.

Edited the post to state this

Interesting subject - what sort of prices have you been quoted?

    • Various but mostly $500+ for it. They are calling it a half car wrap even though it's not really half the car.

I contacted a few places but half of them haven't even replied.

I should also state that 2/3 of my roof is taken up by a sunroof as well!

      • What kind of car?

        • Kia stinger

The more they have to cut and shape the more it is… probably be cheaper with just no sunroof

        • Really? It's far less film though, but I kind of see your point

@Obsidious: The film they cut out is likely wasted.

          • @Obsidious: The more labour/time the more $ for a quality install. Thats always the more expensive bit of wraps.
Would be suspicious of anyone that could knock it out too quick and cheaply.

    • Just got more quotes back at $800 and $1200. Seems $500 is the cheapest.

      • yea.. is it $500 for a reason…. ?

      • It will be worth checking what material they will use for half the cost of the others.
Worth keeping in mind what they say they will use and what they will use could differ…

In saying that if they are a smaller outfit with low overheads it may be a great deal.

Was looking at a stinger yesterday and didn’t look overly complicated for wrapping the roof and pillars… but I’ve never tried it myself 😬

        • I am going to contact the cheapest one an confirm what film they use and show me the roll if I do go with them.

Also of thinking of ordering some film, do a couple of small bits and see how I go with it to whether I attempt the roof myself.

    Aliexpress - do it yourself?

I did the shop around a while ago to get a few small chrome pieces done on one of the cars. It was uber expensive and a waste of time… Not to take anything away from a tradies cost of time and doing business etc.

If you really want it, wish you well with finding somewhere that's not a rip! Just my opinion…

    • I have looked on aliexpress as well at wraps and have actually bought the tools from there to do small things like Centre hubs on rims and maybe tail light/head light tint.

Just a bit more wary of a bigger job like the rood and apillars. I have a feeling after buying a couple of sheets, screwing up and then doing it again, it might end up costing more than getting it done professionally.

    • Have you bought film from Ali? Any seller/wrap you can recommend?

  • Remember in Perth it'll probably last 2 summers at best. $500 seems a good price though.

    • I'm usually parked under cover luckily. But that's a good point. It's also one reason I want to use 3m/avery for quality and get it properly installed.
