Connecting a Sewer Jetter for a Ryobi Pressure Washer

I've got the Ryobi RPW140-G pressure washer and I'm trying to work out how I can connect a sewer/drain cleaning hose and jetter to it. I need about 15m hose and Bunnings has a Gerni 15m kit for $39 but the connections are different and I couldn't find any adapters. Can anyone shed some light on how I can get my Ryobi set up with a sewer cleaning kit?

Repco sells an adapter kit with 3 or 4 fittings for different brands included.

You could also try somewhere like Total Tools.

  • I haven't received mine yet (it is in the mail) but I ordered a 50 ft hoze with nozzles from Amazon for $70 recently… Looks like it should just screw onto the M22 fitting directly on the machine but I'll have to get back to you

    • So no trigger then, you just screw it onto the outlet and hit the power button to turn it on?

      • I think you can do both - either straight onto the machine and yeah hit the power button to turn it on, or onto the gun and use the trigger. I'm not sure if it will have the right fitting to go onto the gun though so I'm just hoping it'll go onto one of the two - sounds like the fitting should definitely work for the machine but you never know with Amazon..

        • Care to share the link for the kit you purchased?

The fitting for the gun is sometimes called Lavor type. It's a push in and twist type.

Bowdens Own sells an adapter for $10 that fits onto the trigger gun converting it to a ¼” BSP female thread. That at least gets you to a common connection point and can then adapt from there.

Link to their db of which adapters fit which pressure washer is here: https://www.bowdensown.com.au/blog/latest-news/choosing-the-…

          • @brettule: That's great, thank you

          • @brettule: Did you end up connecting to the Gerni 15m kit or another sewer jetter? I have a RPW150 (same connection as RPW140) and am looking to connect this kit.

            • @darrenp: No, not yet. I do plan to before the end of the year though. Let me know if you give it a whirl though.

    • Hi GCL - wondering if you received you kit and if it's worked to plan? We're experiencing the odd blockage on the last metre before the septic (recently emptied) and being able to leverage the pressure washer is ideal.

Sewer Jetter? Didn't he play for the Swans?

  • Plumber here! I personally wouldn't bother with this type of setup! Not enough pressure or flow to really be effective on most blockages, tree roots for get it.

I own a true jetter with 5000 true psi @ 24L / M. You really need to have a matched system to get good results, any system worth using is also a very dangerous tool to be operating and you Must wear the recommended PPE.
