Are these still actual running shoes?

    • +1

Only if you run with it.

They are real balloon'ish.. super comfy under foot, but not might not be every runners cup of tea.

The white version of the Peg 38's have been $119 for weeks at the Athletes Foot.

    • +1

Yes, yes they are. Have a look for reviews at Roadtrailrun or Doctors of Running web sites.

I bought the 37s recently and they have the same mid and outsole. I would put these in the casual runners category. They are suitable for mild running. If you're putting in serious Ks you might want to invest in purpose running shoes. These also fairly springy and cushiony so it might not agree with everyones preferance. I was used to harder sole runners but recently recovered from an ankle injury and bought these to help reduce impact on the ankle. Worked well for me.

Also works with zoomx invincible for $175.

Check your card rewards I had $10 off $100 at iconic for commbank. Also a Coles $10 off $100 so I bought a gc to use at iconic.

Also this code is 1 use per account.

    • zoomx invincible is hedious to me, but it's zoomx… tempted lol

For me, the Peg 37 was very uncomfortable compared with the 36.

Reluctant to purchase Pegs again without trying them on in-store first. The last pair were digging into me around the ankle and were sized like clown shoes!

I'm now running in Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 2 and finding them good :)

    • I also loved the 36s and disliked the 37s. Just ran in the 38s for the first time tonight, much better feel for me.

      • Are 38s as good as 36s ?

        • For me they’re completely different. I do like the 38s but they’re nothing like the 36s if that’s what you’re looking for.

        • I skipped the 37s, but very happy with the 38s…… until a broken ankle, so i will probably be next in the 43s

Damn i bought these for work for full price a few weeks ago

  • Are these any good for someone with completely flat feet?

    • you probably want some arch support. Best to go into an athletes foot and get your measurments done. They can also recomend some good arch support shoes. Asics Kayanos are pretty great for that. The 28's just came out, so you could very likely find some cheap 27's around.

    • +1

      Depends.
Do you have fallen arches or naturally flat?

I have naturally flat feet and run in neutral runners. I run a lot too.

Your podiatrist is the best advice though. Athlete's foot are no experts.

    • +1

Two schools of thought for flat feet:

Some say run in neutral runners and allow the foot to do what it wants (such as Nike Pegasus)
Others say, get a stablility shoe (such as Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 2, or Asics Kayano)

Different experts will tell you different things.

At the end of the day, everyone is different. If you can, try both options and then go with what feels best for you in terms of performance, and minimising injury or strain.

Nike are not made for running they are for looks. You want new balance or Asics

    • +1

Lol yeah thats why almost the entire Marathon field wore Nikes at the Olympics and nike were by far the most popular brand on the track at the Olympics.

      • -5

They wear them because they are the bloody sponsors

        • Have you run in the Nike's at all? And if so what's your brand of preference?

    • Had Nike zoom fly fk+ fly 3, Asics kayano 25, qantam 360 and kinsei myself (along with another other pairs of Adi and Mizumo).

Nike has won the running shoes performance race by a huge margin these years, no kidding.
