  I bought the 1TB version of this in the recent centrecom deal, it's in my new PC and is doing a great job. Heatsink is big so I can't use the heatsink that came with the motherboard, but I feel the heatsink that's included is better with the fins that are on it. It surprised me how hot it gets, so the heatsink is definitely appreciated.

    Wish it wasn't a bright bronze colour, really stands out in an all-black pc as you cant cover it with the motherboard heatsink

      Isn't the heatsink an optional installation with this drive though, so you could use your preferred heatsink…

        You might be right, people have talked about warranty being voided if you remove it but it looks like you can just put it back on for replacement.

          @bigtom_999: Only removing the label on the actual SSD voids the warranty, you can remove the heatsink.

      Yeah I feel you. I thought it was gonna really break the aesthetic of my build but actually it's started to grow on me a bit - like I can see it there versus being hidden away. The newer model is at the bottom of the post that has a black heatsink, but also is quite a bit pricier..
