Lol, I wrote it in response to the OP who said it was the cheapest until he edited his post after you pointed out the same thing but didn't get negged for it.
People point out cheaper historical prices all the time on here no matter how small, but then again the gaming side of this site gets real salty on the trigger finger.

Not comparable at all. There is a ton of difference in the build quality.
Have you tried one? they sit on, they charge, but go ahead & pay nearly double if you want 🙂
I have a similar one, so speaking from experience. Yes, "if" they sit on, they charge. But the plastic is flimsy, and more than once my kid was able to knock it off the edge of the table as there is absolutely no heft in it. Believe me, I have no interest in overpaying for controller charging docks, but for $37 vs $21, I'll take the plunge with the Sony one :)
@ForTheGreaterGood: So if no kids? Or keep them away? My kids know how to use perfectly 5 & 9, also not my listing, this site is about saving is it not? This a saving or pay nearly double if you want 🙂
@hrcdan: Just an example mate, not taking a dig at you. To each their own I guess! For me, it's not savings if I foresee a situation where I might need to replace a product because it gave out due to whatever reason. If I go by that logic, Aliexpress is heavenly! Again, YMMV.
the ebay one uses a usb power supply as opposed to the sony wall plug……is there any reason why that wouldn't be an advantage? Does the sony one charge faster?
I remember buyign a no name brand for my ps4 controllers. It warned not to leave the controllers on there after they had charged whereas the sony one would shut off when full.

A 15cm usb c cable and a 5w Apple charger is too much to ask from anyone. It takes way less time to plug it in than finding the right spot on the charging station.
But then you have a cable out in the way. I try to not have any cables dangling out and about, and have basically every cable hidden, and got this so that I didn't have to have two there for the two controllers. Yes it is theoretically unnecessary, but it allows for a far cleaner, neater set up, and I know my controllers are always charged.
I don't know about your place. My powerboard is just right in front of my TV table. Zero hassle. Cable is too short that I hardly notice it. It's long enough to reach the lower level of the table where the controller is resting. As I said it's only 15cm.
I care a lot about cable management, but in this case it looks so neat, tidy and convenient that I see no reason to buy a charging station.
I don't game a lot as well. One charge lasts a week for ps4 games and 2-3 days for ps5 games.
@Mi2: I have a powerboard tucked behind and under the TV cabinet. I could have cable maybe tucked behind the PS5 or other consoles and do the blind reach behind and grab the cable whenever i want it, which is what I did prior to the dock, but the fumbling behind for the cable got frustrating, whereas the Dock gives them a nice neat place to sit when not in use, and charge. Which was the other issue, I didn't have a neat place to put them so they just ended up charging sitting ontop of the console at random angles. But I can understand this a very specifically me problem, and the cable will be fine for most people. The dock isn't a must have, but is a very nice to have.
Regarding charge, i dunno, I was playing through the tomb raider games over the last few weeks and was getting 3-3.5hrs battery life, both from my controller that came with the PS5 and the brand new one I got about a month ago.
Great, now I have got a dock, a controller, a headphone.
Just need a optic drive, a PS5 mobo, a PSU and some cables to make my very own PS5!

It is an awesome dock though. The controllers just sit on it and fall into place really easily. No effing around and it looks great.
The PS4 official dock sucked, you had to plug it into the controllers and one day all my pins got bent and it half of it was ruined. When that died I tried this Energizer one from EB, it was absolutely terrible. Didn't work half the time and it looked and felt cheap. So after that I would never go after market.
Good deal, just curious as to the difference between this and the other off brands on eBay etc for $20 or so. Do they not do the same thing or are they different or dodgy?
If you want to cheap out just use a USB C charger. If you want a dock, get this. It is very high quality and works very well.

Are stocks limited again? They were free flowing for a few months. Very easy to get via twitter update. Has this changed?
Most tech savvy people probably have them, a lot of people who dont search out for creative ways to nab one (twitter feeds) havent got one.

Wasn't gonna get one than got one anyway. Will be helpful in keeping the controllers safe rather than just being placed somewhere the cable reaches lol.
