Best Automatic Coffee Machine under $3000

Hi all,

Looking for the best coffee machine under $3000

Whilst I think the most recommended is the Breville Oracle Touch (on sale), I am hoping for maybe something “more automatic” due to the people who will be using it.

I don’t mind Jura’s, but I am not a fan of how some of the models have the milk container connected to the machine.

Looking to hear feedback

  • How automated is “more automatic”?

This one worked really well in my old office of about 30 people:

    • People using it are not very skilled haha

      • So then you will likely need one with milk?

        • Correct. Ideally the machine is end to end (including milk)

  • How skilled are the people using it?

Are you drinking espresso or drinks with milk in them?

How much of a coffee snob are you?

Where will you buy the coffee from?

What kind of grinder do you already own?

How offended are you by pressurised baskets?

    • People using are not very skilled but enjoy a decent coffee

No grinder, so machine will need to do all.

Beans will come from speciality store

      • Are you drinking espresso or drinks with milk in them?

  • +2

The Breville Oracle (not touch) is super easy to use, but still requires a bit of maintenance and cleaning up.

    • +1. Automatics still need to be cleaned and break down too often. Oracle does the hardest parts which are grinding/tamping.

  • If I can save you $80/year, would you send me the saving in the form of a voucher each year?
    If one considers each coffee at ($4 * 2 per day) * 365 = $2920
Support your local coffee shop/cafe! :)

Just joking - I a fan of Breville and DeLonghi.
Have a dual boiler Breville, but it's a manual. A good bit of kitchen kit though! I much prefer a manual machine in my opinion with an individual grinder.
I also use various different beans depending on what I'm making at the time. And, in any event, that the machine or grinder has a problem, I'm not replacing an all in one device, rather, just the device that has a problem. All good so far though!

  • One the easiest automatic machines is Delonghi PrimaDonna Elite Experience.
