[PC, Steam] The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion $5.98 (Was $19.95) @ Steam Store

"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody has posted this deal on my watch!"

Not the lowest price for the GOTY version by a few dollars, but still a great price for one of my favorites growing up.

Game of the Year edition includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions.

GOTY Deluxe is also available on the store page for $8.98, which includes-
Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more.

Can't seem to link that one however.

I have a feeling that 99% of people in Ozbargain that are into gaming already own this game.

I have it on xbox 360 but I'd think this is a better copy for mods

    • Maybe, but you know what they say about assuming something.

    • I dont. but am tempted

    • Alongside The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48593/ Combine it with the Thomas the Tank mod that turns dragons into trains

That's Skyrim different game. This is Oblivion

      • Oh yeah lol shit

Add guns & bullets DLC and you'll get Fallout 3!!

I'm so disappointed it doesn't have regular functioning controller support 😭

    • +1

Agreed, buy now though for Skyblivion which should be on track to release in the next 2 years. Controller will be supported

      • +1

Mods like that are always 'on track to be released in [x time period].' I'd love to see them get released, but I'm not holding my breath.

        • Watch the latest devdiarys on youtube, theyre not that far away

          • @ruddiger7: I'll believe it when I see it. I waited a long time for Oblivion mods that never eventuated and Skyrim mods that have been 'just months away' for years. I want to see it happen, but it just rarely does.

      • I really hope Skyblivion happens. Can't wait to relive it. Strangely (or not) Oblivion is my favourite of the Elder Scrolls series.

Remember the huge horse-armour-gate of 2006 when these devs m/this game were one of the first ones with micro transactions… man they were ahead of their time.

Now EVERYTHING has god damn micros.

    • I member.

    • A lot of kids these days would never know games without ads or micro transactions

Great game, too painfully slow to on PS3, but PC version with mods is great… Though some mods clash and I get giant yellow exclamation marks appearing in mid-air!

    • I just started using the modlist on Wabbajack and it's been relatively stable.

Am I the only one who enjoyed this game more than Skyrim?

    • +1

Nah storywise and quest wise this is the better game!

Skyrim has better graphics though. Dragon shout mec hanics were a missed opportunity.

    • Nope, you are definitely not alone there.

    • Nah. I'm right there with you.

    • Very much so.

  • For the true bargain hunters, and possibly criminal scum, it's a lot cheaper on key reseller sites.

    • Without a doubt.

  • Good opportunity to start using steam cloud backups for your data

  • I saw a mudcrab the other day…

Brings back memories. What a glorious time sink this game was…

    • 100%
The Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild quests were the most memorable for me

      • +1

Ironically the same quests I did first in Skyrim!

  • Flyin in the sky
    Cliff Racer flys so high!

  • I recommend this fun mod (adds a bunch of fun spells):
