  • Will this charge the Galaxy Active 2?

    • +5

Does the Galaxy Active 2 support Qi wireless charging?

      • Not that simple unfortunately. Qi certification only guarantees 5w charging. Manufacturers can apply proprietary limitations to fast wire6 charging.

        • It is that simple actually.

If the Galaxy Active 2 supports Qi charging (which lets be real, it does) then this will charge the Galaxy Active 2.

@spaceflight: Not quite. The Qi protocol now allows for proprietary restrictions. Qi is no longer Qi. To fast wirelessly charge a Samsung device the charger needs to be Qi certified with the Samsung Proprietary Power Delivery Extension.

See for example the Qi certification for this Samsung Charger. The flag for Samsung Proprietary Extension is set to yes. Without this showing on the charger's Qi certification, they will no longer be able to fast charge Samsung devices and will be throttled to 5w.

            • @whichtyler: Yes quite, and you're missing the point.

The question was "will this charge the Galaxy Active 2"

The answer is if the Galaxy Active 2 supports Qi charging (which lets be real, it does) then this will charge the Galaxy Active 2.

The there are other extensions of Qi charging that provide things like faster charging at higher wattages however the lack of those extensions on a Qi certified charger will not prevent the charger from charging a Qi certified device.

  • 10W dual, can it to 20W for single a device?

    • +1

      No.

  • Is it good charger for samsung s21 ultra? And how long does it take for delivery from aliexpress?

    • I've bought two 15w chargers for my Ultra in recent weeks and neither have supported fast wireless charging. The phone forces them back to 5w. After doing some research it seems that Samsung blocked third party chargers from fast charging by way of a security patch a few months back.

  • Where can I buy one of these transparent phones?
