Ray Ban Aviators ~$130 Delivered

380

I was looking around for a decent price for ray bans and found these.
They have lots of different styles and colors, I posted aviators just as an example.
Wayfarers come to about $118 delivered - http://www.sunglassessave.com/ray-ban-new-wayfarer-rb2132-bl…
Site is based in the uk, price shown on the link includes VAT, but they take it off at checkout.
I ordered a pair and it arrived in under 2 weeks, without any dramas.

        Whoops, my bad.

  • Genuine?

    • Yeah, they're legit. If they're not genuine then they're a very good fake.

    • they would have to be genuine at that price, considering you can buy fakes for about $5 on ioffer, and they are actually quite well made too, but the lenses are probably not good for your eyes.

      • Why are these lenses bad for your eyes?

          He meant the fake ones.

It goes without saying that if you're fine with non-Rayban Aviators, this deal wouldn't appeal to you whatsoever. Otherwise, I might as well keep using the RAAF ones I got for free at their recruitment booth.

Why didn't anyone list FREE RAAF AVIATORS AT RECRUITMENT BOOTH on OzBargain? I would have pounced on that!

        • I don't the the RAAF would be too happy getting ozbargained with 0 real sign-ups.

  • Some are pretty good looking. Too bad I really need to try them on as my head is pretty big.

  • Excellent site, thanks for the great find.

Just wondering does anyone know a similar website that sells real designer frames for glasses…it would be really helpful it you can post it up here or PM me :)

    Thanks!

    • Vision Direct is pretty cheap, genuine and stacks with MoneyBack Co. They also throw in a few freebies into every offer. Unfortunately, their shipping takes ages. I ordered a pair of Wayfarers that took ~3-4 weeks from order to arrive. I bitched to their customer service and got another $10 off.

      • dont buy from vision direct

lots of bad feedback from WP

        • I'd agree with all of this. I wouldn't recommend using Vision Direct for most people. If however, you had no urgent need for sunnies and are fine with them arriving in the distant future at a low price, I see no harm.

        • stand0410 also quite a few people report getting fakes from vision direct, so its not just a case of slow service

This website has prices far less than stated above. Apparently the deal posted here is no closer to these prices.

    Any thoughts guys?

^ Another site if you want genuine raybans from Australia. When I was looking online for aviators, users on whirlpool recommended this site. Had no problems with my order.

  • Catch of the day have sunglasses today. Co-incidence? Maybe.

  • -6

I have no idea why these are so expensive considering that they are probably mass produced by children in a dirty Chinese factory just like all other sunglasses. I'd rather not pay a $100 premium in order to have the privilege to wear this specific brand.

But it's cheap for what it is, so a + from me.

    • +2

Holy fuck the ignorance of some people amazes me.

      • I'm sorry for not wanting to buy $130 sunglasses just for the brand name they've tacked onto it?

        • +1

You're paying for good optic lenses and real UV protection and also for the polarising layer. And quality. They're made in Italy not china

        • +1

They are good quality and made in Italy. Though personally buying the cancer council or Polaroid sunglasses in Myer on sale is fine too, they are all polarised and good quality. About $50 each on sale.

    • +4

Ray Bans are made in Italy

      • Where does it say that?

        • on the arms usually but seeing as the arms on these are so thin then you probably wouldn't see it. They are made in Italy though.

        • The box, glasses case, warranty card… You're paying a premium for a higher quality, better looking and branded pair of sunnies. Not all cheap pairs are crap, but a lot are and you can spot the fake Ray Bans from real ones just by the hinges.

  • Is there a tracking number when these are posted? Sometimes the postie cant find my house

Do you get Top Gun on VHS for free when you order?

    • If so, I'd much rather prefer the betamax version. It's much more popular.

  • whats a good site to get maui jims from ?
locally there is no price discounting

Good deal - you can be my wingman any time.

  • awesome find. since ive got a wierd shaped head and its impossible to tell by pictures alone if a pair of sunnies suit me, i just go into the shop (dfo, sunglass hut etc) try them on till i find the one i like, make a note of the model number, then buy them online and save at least $100

  • How do I know which size fits me?

  • +3

52mm aviators are more for smaller faces. 58mm is the standard size aviator and I dare say the size most people want. 62mm is for people that want larger size frame.
