  • Anyone have these at all?

Should probably finally get a new mount that my electric open/close one has died and QLD cameras

    • I have one and it's decent. I dislike things hanging off the windscreen so this was perfect for me.

      • Amazon reviews seem positive except for with larger phones, then the retention mechanism in the CD slot may give issues after a while. Looks to be a spring mount in to the CD slot rather than a manual screw clamp from the photos, is that right?

        • Yup, that's correct. You push down a spring on the mount and slide it into the CD slot.

Bought two of these on eBay for $14 each and it’s been great. Fits securely into my CD slot and holds phones of different sizes with ease. It’s positioned at a lower eye level and be mindful of the buttons around the CD slot as it may obstruct a few buttons.

    • Bought one of these in the last sale.

Works great for about a month, then it starts to come quite loose.

Three months later, the springs in the CD slot mechanism don't have enough tension to hold the weight of a phone anymore.

  • Had one not stable at all
    Pass it

I had the same experience. Bought a manual screw clamp one from AliExpress and swapped the phone holder from this onto the manual clamp and it has been wonderful.

What part was not stable? ball joint, phone holder or vent mount clamps etc? I've got a 12pro max so it's on the heavier side

      • CD mount design was unstable always tend to fall on slight bump had to throw away

  • Is air vent model good for samsung s21 ultra with case ? asking because its a bit heavy phone

    • I dont like the vent model as it is not stable to hold the phone enough. May be it depends on your vent flap whether they are rigid enough.

I am using this with a S20FE and it works perfectly for me. Holding the phone in the exact position and feel stiff to swivel around.

    • I have the vent mount with a iPhone 7 plus with case. It fits fine but do find the grip on the vent loosens over time so it's definitely not a mount you can fit and forget about.

    • Depends on the vent. My vents are vertical and its a PIA. flops around, tried putting foam inbetween the vents to stop it moving but it all ends up wiggling around. Been wanting to try a CD slot one but the weight of the S21U worries me based on the comments.

  • The website is horrendous on mobile - like something cobbled together in 1998 by an intellectually challenged teen with his first HTML book.

  • I have one of these, but for some reason it doesn't fit in my cd slot snuggly. It does however does its job well but it does randomly fall down maybe once ever 20 trips.

I have yet to find a good solution with these mounts (have tried aircon vents. cd slots etc)

Also the shipping from this company takes ages (around 2 months) I think you're better off spending a bit more and getting it locally.
