nbn FTTP Wireless Router Recommendations

Hi,

I am a Vodafone NBN customer and router they offer is rubbish. The internet is always slow!

The NBN technicians came to my house and there is no problem with the infrastructure, but with the router.

So I am looking to buy a good router that will give me good WiFi coverage in my house.

Can anyone point me to a good router for NBN type FTTP?

A VDSL2 modem is not used for FTTP. What you need to purchase is a router. How much do you want to spend? What speed have you signed up for?

  Based on how OP describes the situation, I would say an Asus/TP-Link wifi 5 router with two antennas at around $100-$125 will meet the need.

ASUS RT-AX86U or RT-AC86U (no Wifi 6 on the U model but still a great router).

  That should be no Wi-Fi 6 on the AC model.
  
  RT-AX86U = Wi-Fi 6.
  RT-AC86U = Wi-Fi 5.

What speed plan are you on? Because that will help determine what router is the most suitable.
