  • Mrs M00C0W read it BeChardy and wants to know: With the Lakeside SA Chardonnay 2020, is it oaked?

    Are almost contrary ;-)

Hi Mrs M. Hahaha yes, it's getting a bit that way I'm sure in NSW and VIC.

Lakeside Chardonnay has a little oak - we're neither fans of the unoaked Chardonnay style or overly oaked. This has enough to hint at it without being punched in the face! Cheers RD :-)

The Sparkling is quite good. Goes down super fast and at $10 is a step up from the Wolf Blass red label.

Not as good as the Jacob's Creek Vintage which you can sometimes get for $10 (with cashback) but that is bottle fermented (and I have no idea how they do that for the $, scale I guess).

But yeah, get this. Smash a bottle before a weekend lunch or dinner. Or take it byo to the local sushi train joint. The looks you get when the cork pops. Good times.

Hey Miso! And don't forget the feel good factor of knowing it was made by a South Australian small, family business and not a major conglomerate like Treasury Wine Estates (Wolf Blass) or Pernod Ricard (Jacobs Creek). Happy days! Cheers RD :-)
