Just found this deal for South Australians looking at purchasing what seems to be eco-friendlier white goods. Please note terms and conditions do apply and I am uncertain at this stage what they are. Just wanted to let Ozbarginers know ASAP.

    Bought an Esatto dryer that's on the list earlier this year but from appliances online which is not SA based, so not eligible unfortunately.

      For Online purchases, the retailer/provider must be able to demonstrate that the appliance has been delivered to premises in South Australia

            @1jwoz: The Aldi version was free with REPS. Also an easy $150 if you give them your second fridge.

            BUT….

            All metro only. According to the state government offers, South Australia ends at Gepps Cross!

                @Vaneater: Sounds good on paper, but the reality is the extra delivery or installation costs (since you can only buy from the set providers) makes it not viable for regional SA. For example, the $499 aircon (metro) is an extra $2100 for regional SA.

                This is more expensive than a normal local install.

                As for the fridge collection, that is a no offer completely.

                The solution is to remove the supplier monopoly.

                  The AC prices you are quoting is for a different company to YESS.

                  We try to engage local suppliers to participate to make it work for regional centers, the issue generally is with the stringent compliance requirements we need to meet for work done under REPS which many sole trades and smaller trade businesses can not manage to meet.

                  We don't have a monopoly on the program or its activities, but other suppliers choose to not offer the full suite of services due to the "red tape".

                  Also with the Appliance Purchase - the purchase of a product can be from any retailer in SA or Online as long as it is delivered to a SA address. For example if you purchased it from a Country Retailer and decided to deliver it home yourself that is allowed. Other schemes in other states - limited itself to a particular supplier - e.g NSW DPIE was limited to The Good Guys. With this activity we have set it up within in the limitations of the REPS scheme to provide the consumer with as much choice and opportunity to get the best deal possible.

                      If you are in a regional centre where we dont have a current partner - we could potentially work with someone you know who is local if they are open to going through our induction process.

            @Chickenleg: Hi, The rebate varies product to product and it is based on the efficiency of the appliance.
            We have not placed a finish date on this service however the rebate value is set to decline from 2022.
            YESS are able to process these rebates as long as they still have REPS targets to meet. We hope to be able to continue to accept these right through until the end of this year, however it is not a given. New targets are set from January 1st for purchases made that year. We will do our best to update our website as allocations are exhausted for the 2021 REPS allocation.

      Hi - The $33 payment is required where the rebate would mean the customer would have the service free of charge. In the instance of the Appliance Purchase - you have already paid for the fridge /dryer so it is not going to be free for you, if the rebate would mean that you paid nothing for the dryer/fridge (i.e bring the cost down to $0), then we would give you back the full rebate less the $33 payment if you are Non-Priority Group.

      Hope that makes sense.

      Energy efficient appliance rebate

      The $20 million Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate scheme offered rebates for eligible purchases from 1 January to 3 June 2018. Air conditioners, fridges and washing machines with a minimum 4 star energy efficiency rating were eligible for a rebate of up to $300.

      Applications are now closed.

      The product eligibility requirement set by the scheme is as follows:
      PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS
      (1) A Group 1 product shall have a total gross volume in the size range 100 to 500 litres and
      shall achieve a star rating index of not less than 3.5 in accordance with AS/NZS 4474.2 or
      AS/NZS4474:2018.
      (2) A Group 4, 5T, 5B or 5S product shall have a total gross volume in the size range 100 to 700
      litres and shall achieve a star rating index of not less than 3.5 in accordance with AS/NZS
      4474.2 or AS/NZS4474:2018.
      (3) The product shall have a valid registration with the GEMS regulator at the time of sale. (4) The refrigerating appliance shall not have a designation of cooled appliance under AS/NZS 4474.1 or AS/NZS IEC 62552.1.
      (5) The refrigerating appliance shall not be a wine storage appliance or have any compartment that is intended exclusively for wine or beverage storage.

      We look up the group type and the N-Standard via this website: https://reg.energyrating.gov.au/comparator/product_types/28/…

      The main things to keep in mind when looking is that it is above 3.5 stars and the total vol of the fridge is under 700L (if group 4/5t/5b/5s) or under 500L (if group 1). If its within these parameters then hopefully its registered under the required standard.

      Hi,

      The rebate is value is assigned based on the star rating and capacity.

      For Dryers (APP1D) The smallest rebate is for a 5.5 star and 3kg dryer which is $95 and the maximum rebate available for dryers is $565 - this is for a 10 star and 10+kg heat pump dryer (but I don't believe there are any on the market)

      For Freezers (APP1B) the rebate starts at $50 and goes upto $675 (a 10+ Star and 650L Freezer - i don't believe this exists on the market)

      For a Fridge & Freezer (APP1A) the rebate starts at $45 and goes up to $670 (a 10+ Star and 650L fridge&freezer - i don't believe this exists on the market).

      Our advertising images were created prior to dryers being on offer and we decided to only show the $ value for products we could find on the market at the time of creating the images, hence the $425 seen.

      Hi there,

      We have had a huge influx of applications since this post (THANKS SO MUCH!!)

      We are working through the applications currently.

      On successful submission you should receive an automated confirmation email. If you have forgotten to fill in a mandatory section and hit submit you do need to click onto the Step 2 + which will highlight the missed section prior to allowing you to submit. (this isnt very obvious and we are working on fixing it).

      If you have not recieved a confirmation email - check your spam.

      If it is not there - give us a call on 1300 894 745 and we can advise if your application is in our system waiting for processing. If its not you will need to fill in the form again as it may have gotten stuck if a mandatory section was not filled in/

      We have not placed a finish date on this service however the rebate value is set to decline from 2022.
      YESS are able to process these rebates as long as they still have REPS targets to meet. We hope to be able to continue to accept these right through until the end of this year, however it is not a given. New targets are set from January 1st for purchases made that year. We will do our best to update our website as allocations are exhausted for the 2021 REPS allocation.

    $505 hit my account today. Amazing.
    To think I would have had no idea about this if I hadn't opened this website on that day some weeks ago. I don't normally do that either, I get the daily emails and this was not on it. So I opened the browser by chance and because it was prefixed [SA] it caught my attention and then the rest is history. I had already purchased my 10 star heat pump dryer so it is indeed free unexpected money. How happy / lucky can one get!!
