Goodyear Assurance Frameless Wiperblades 16-22" $4.79 @ Costco

60

Hey all,

Surprised these hasn't been pointed out yet. I know it's mentioned in the Costco Coupon post here (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/64010) but it's a deal by itself.

Normal Costco price: $9.79 - $5 off = $4.79. They usually go for $17+ on Amazon.com and ebay.

The closest thing you can find in other stores are the Tridon Flexblade Wipers which go for $24+ at SCA (http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/outside-the-ca…). And you'll probably find these are cheaper than most refills at supercheap!

When I was in I saw these sizes:
16"
17"
18"
20"
22"

BTW, they are $4.79 EACH, NOT a set of 2.

  • How are theses compared to the Bosch ones?

  • anyone know if these will fit an 02 subaru impreza without too much trouble?

  • OP, if you bought these, can you please add in which cars these will suit? They usually print this info on the box (well at least they used to). Havent bought some in a while now so not sure.

    • Yeah if you go on the good year website, provided in the deal above and select your vehicle it will show you which wiper blades you need.

    • Sorry, no list of models it suits on it.

The only thing I can find on the packaging is that it supports these arm styles:

      Pins
      Hooks
      B12
      B13
      B14

  • They have booklets at the store advising you which size you should get.

Just a warning: I bought a pair for my car, after about 1 month, the clips that holds these wipers became extremely loose. Your wipers can fall off if that happens.
I had to resort to getting my old wipers that I haven't thrown away and using those clips on these wipers.
And no, I've changed numerous wiper blades throughout my car's 20 years of existance (Camry SV21). This isn't new to me.

Overall, the blades are good quality but the clips designs are poor. Be prepared to improvise.

  • I got a set of these from Costco about 6 months ago. They come with an assortment of fittings to fit alot of different makes of car, you just need to know what size wiper you need. I haven't had any issues with the clips, and might even get another set to put away for when I need them!!

  • hey hippocrit, which costco did you go to? and do you need to print multiple coupons?? or one would be enough?
    thanks

    • +1

You dont actually need the coupon itself - the price is automatically taken off at the register

      • I went to Auburn NSW, and as KKraig said there is no need for coupons. If there is a need for it, take it at the front desk.

Prior to today I purchased 5 on the weekend with no issues

  • I have used these and the (far) more expensive Bosch ones. These Goodyear ones are very very good. Hard to tell the difference between these and the Bosch.

They will fit just about any car. There are 5-6 different adapters, so the only thing you need to know is the wiper blade size. These replace the entire wiper arm, they are not just refills.

My advice would be to measure your existing wiper blade and buy the closest size at CostCo. I bought the size the box recommended and one was a little too long. Bear in mind that driver and passenger sizes are different.
