We had an Aiwa HiFi system back in the 90's! Thought these guys went broke.

And the sound was amazing. Sad they broke

Yep - I had a fantastic Aiwa compact stereo system in the late nineties.
Great sound, great features. Bought it from Brashs. Loved it.
Two great companies that went down the gurgler.

Up to only 4 hours play time and yet only Standby time: 3-4 hours. That sounds dodgy indeed.
Just buy the Edifier ones for $15 more, at least one gets what is it…….40+hrs playtime or something silly?

    • Edifier W800BT Red $22.50.
      Edifier W820BT Red $30.80, White $36.30.

      • hmm but the Aiwa has ANC?
        doesnt sound right

  • "now there's a name i havent bought in a while"

Love Aiwa in the olden days.

  • They had an amazing portable Bluetooth speaker exos-9 which they aren't making anymore I think. However that's all I'd pay for when it comes to this brand…

  • Aiwa trademark was sold off long ago.
So these are likely a rebadged cheapie.

  • Aiwa.. used to own a discman and mini disc…

    Those were the days…

Then the ipod came out… lol

    • The quality of mini disc was quite amazing. iPod was just convenient and that was all.

  • Guess you must have ended up at Catch searching for Taotronics headphones, like I did.
Saw these headphones and their spec and thought - nah. Despite my fond memories of Aiwa (with a capital A).

I thought my Aiwa Walkman copy in the early 80's was great, as was my Aiwa compact stereo in 1990. Plus dad's Aiwa radio cassette earlier still. This brand was part of Sony for a while. But now, I have no idea.

  • Thanks OP! Wanted a cheap ANC over-ear headphones for mowing the lawn. If I trash these it won't matter at this price. Paid $16.92 with Club Catch, Unidays and discounted gift cards.
