Part of Meritline's daily deals - grab a 2 pack of the micro USB cables for $1.09. i think I paid about that for one on eBay a while ago so not a bad price in my opinion. They aren't terribly long at only a metre, but for the price who really cares.

I've found a lot of cheap micro usb's don't carry data or do so for only a limited time. They're good for charging only.

I bought this the last time and boy do they use cheap builds !, that rubber coating you see on the ends of the cord eventually after less than a week get dislodged, so I bought another OH and GUESS what happens again !

IMHO its rubbish even the data sync rate is noticeably slower for some reason, eventually dies/dips in speed.

Even I for one am a Meritline digger, but this is a rubbish item…

Totally crap, waste of time(2-3 weeks wait) and your $1~, you rather just donate that money to some other good cause !

I bought this last time it was on special - BOTH of them broke first time I plugged them in.

    Not worth the $1.09!!

I'm not negging the deal - I'm negging the product, so hopefully nobody else will buy them by accident. They're not worth your time and effort.

  • I've ordered quite a few from them over a year, and they seem to be good to me (decent build etc.) none have broken yet. I constantly use them to charge my devices.

    • Yeah, was planning on using them as charge cables too.

I have not had much luck with the quality of stuff from Meritline so much so that I avoided this deal. I don't want to risk ruining the connector on my $700 phone for the sake of saving a few bucks on a cable.
