Companies That Will Generate an Invoice for Me to Buy a Laptop etc

Would companies such as TGG/Bing Lee/JB/HN generate an invoice for a product that would then be sent to a 3rd party provider to pay fully before the item being received? If not them any companies that would?

I require something and the company says they can't reimburse as their 'computer says no', but the company needs to send an invoice they will pay instead. Probably awkward so they just have to stay with their preferred distributor (who if RRP so totally non-ozbargainable!)

Just ask the sales staff I’m more than sure they’ll be bending over backwards for an easy sale.

  • Any of you professional local IT providers can also supply equipment. Would be easy for them to invoice to whomever.

  • I'm sure they pretty much all could.

  • Ask for a Proforma Invoice (PI) addressed to your employer. This is standard practice mostly in IT procurement.
Once payment is received the supplier will deliver the goods with the tax invoice.

  • Ask them if they will pay a 'cash quote'. Should be no reason that a company can't pay for a quote upfront.
Otherwise, you are looking to provide them with a pro forma invoice. Or put it on a credit card and then get a reimbursement.

  • If the company is paying for it then raise a Purchase Requisition for one. Purchasing officer would buy whatever you want from any retailer in the system. Blackwoods, atom supply usually common suppliers and they will buy in for you at a markup. If company wants to go by the process then company pays more at the end of the day due to procedure.

  • Thanks all. The 3rd party paying can purchase directly via TGG, or if <$1500 total Inc postage they can pay an invoice raised containing their details, and then the item gets shipped to me. Buying and being reimbursed isn't an option apparently (,that's be too easy and value for money!( So looking at (shudders) RRP or more from TGG. Their choice but it is a shame that a device I could get on special for $800 might be $1100+ without bargain hunting.

I'll try the PI pro-forma invoice method with a couple of shops and see what they say.
