  • As a point of comparison, I paid $160 back in 2019 for the RM650x.

PSU has worked flawlessly and the fan doesn't normally run whilst I am just doing day to day computing.

    • Actually its RM850 not RM850x thats newer and cheaper, $159. I should have edited the post

      • RM850x is still superior and worth the extra $10.

        • In what way? Honest question

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: RM850x has Japanese capacitors and a higher quality fan. RM850 has Chinese capacitors.

            • @MiscOzB: Thats hilarious lol. I bought RM then cancelled got RMx, then found RM is newer, cancelled and got RM again :)
RM has : 12 sata connectors, 4 pata connectors, no floppy & is Modern Standby Compatible.
RMX has : 10 sata connectors, 8 pata connectors, has floppy & is not Modern Standby Compatible.
              No in-cable capacitors in RM
RM is a more up to date design and has better efficiency under ultra-light loads thanks to a newer resonant controller

All-in-all, RM is OK for me

              • @[Deactivated]: Yeah RM is still a solid choice - also has a 10-year warranty like the RMx does.

  • Showing as $ 199 for me.

    • Change to "RM Series", it is the good one.
      Still has $159 price

  • Was $140 during Afterpay eBay sale last week.

  • Back in stock, grabbed one!
