Did they ever end up releasing the multiplayer for this game?

    • Not yet, seems like it might be a seperate game on PS5 at this point.

    • They decided to spin it off as a standalone title. It's one of the not-so-secret projects that Naughty Dog is still working on at the moment. People thought they'd be close to finishing it by now, but they're still actively hiring more people for it, so it sounds like it's going to be big when it gets released. Maybe next year.

    • +9

Yea its called Mario Golf on switch.

  • -5

buy 100, sell at cex for $15 each, $600 profit

    • -4

You sound like PRC. Baby Formula.

      • +3

It must be broden's new account

        • They are making a movie about this user’s escapades. “500 days of summerlmao”

  • This is a great game, but very long, and it fluctuates between extremely easy and extremely difficult scenes. Have no idea when or if I’ll ever finish it.

    • +6

What parts were extremely easy and extremely difficult? Don't recall anything like that in the game

      • +1

        Spoilers in…

        3…
        2…
        1…

When you're playing as Abbey and you're in the theatre. Ellie is insanely hard compared to the rest of the game up till that point. Maybe I was just bad.

        • Ah I wouldn't say you're bad, I died a fair few times there too but got it in the end. If it's a blocker, don't be afraid to look up a walkthrough so you can at least enjoy the rest of the game :)

        • +4

Exact copy of the David cannibal fight in the first game

        • agreed with both of the other replies. Also this is towards the end and we've played as Elie for a game and a half now and made her super strong, so it should be a notch up.

          • @RevMet:

            this is towards the end

I thought that about 5 times playing this game! Incredible game though.

        • +7

Just enable video game journalist mode.

          • @RI4V4N: You mean how couldn’t put Abbey in their reviews?

        • +3

The rat king battle is also pretty difficult. You need to craft everything before the fight. Not much chance to do it during.

        • The only part I thought was "really hard" was when you you're in the woods and have to survive a couple of waves of clickers with nothing but a hammer. I had to turn the difficulty down for that part, I was playing on either hard or very hard, can't remember, long time ago.

I think it's kinda rude for them to be doing ANOTHER remaster of TLoU1 when we haven't had a new inFAMOUS game in 9 years but I'm looking forward to crawling through grass again….

(And yeah, I know inFAMOUS is a different studio)

    • +1

Not after Platnium Days Gone though.

    • +6

      Seems excessive…

        • +9

And yet you haven’t even + the deal for the OP.

          • @PainToad: Will need to stock up before it got ozbargained. Surely some other will do the same, at least Imanitra is honest.

            • +4

@htc: Agreed. He won't be the only one. It seems like this place has become OzScalper.
One of the main reasons I stopped posting any deals.

              • @Puglife: Which I noticed recently, not a lot of deals get posted, although people like dealbot still post a lot of good deals. Also at least imanitra keeping one to play and sell others, although some may have no interest on the product and profit entirely on this deal, that would have been worse. I have no interest on this just got so curious how this game got ozbargained so quickly, going to go online to check out how good this game is.

        • -7

You guys are crying like i am the only one 😑

        • A lot of effort for 40 bucks?

      • TLOU2 x 5 = TLOU10

  • +54

I’d rather pay double for this from another retailer than give a cent to old mate.

    • -1

      Don't worry Amazon will match

    • +2

I assume he’d be losing money on this. So buying it is actually the right thing to do.

      • Only way I ever justify buying from HN. I'm sitting on $30 from a gift card that I am not going to part with without a fight.

      • +1

Nope, still adds to the stats they like to show their shareholders. Total revenue (regardless of losses), unique customers per month, total units sold etc. Don’t buy from the pricks at all.

  • 9 BUX!

  • +5

Joyce Mayne still in stock for $9 it seems for anyone that missed out, $5.95 delivery cost.

    • Post it as a deal and hopefully Amazon will match.

They already matched HN for $5 Fallout 76

      • Post it as a deal and hopefully Amazon will match.

Amazon aren’t relying on OzBargain to price match things. They’d have bots scrapping the actual competitors sites directly.

        • Do you work for Amazon?

          • +2

@HomeAlone: Don't have to work for Amazon to realise web scrappers can work 24/7

            • @Currynuts: Point is how could PainToad possibly know what/how exactly Amazon are scraping?

Who's to say they aren't also scraping OzBargain?

There are deals posted on here all the time that showed up on Facebook/Discord groups hours earlier, but only shortly after being posted on OzBargain does an Amazon price match happen.

Coincidence or OzBargain is on their list of sites to scrape?

              • @HomeAlone: It's possible they scrape ozbargain as well, but you'd need to ask some who works for Amazon 😏

              • @HomeAlone:

Point is how could PainToad possibly know what/how exactly Amazon are scraping?

                Common sense.

Edit: I guess it is possible they could use OzBargain as well.

    • OOS 😫

    • Thanks mate got one :)

    • Also out of stock

  • Good ol' Harvey!

  • +1

The steel book edition is $36 on Amazon if that’s your thing

    • +2

      What?

      • -3

lmao do you always pretend not to understand things when you get in a huff?

        • +1

Your comment was just the most cringe worthy thing they've seen on this site in a while i'd wager.

          • -4

@Vinodra: lmao do you always reach like that?

            That was hopeless.

            • @BrownBargain: Yep, pure cringe. Atleast you embrace it I guess.

              • -1

@Vinodra: Lmao this coming from someone shamelessly shilling for the steaming POS joke that is Fallout 76……

                Too funny, cheers.

                • @BrownBargain: I hope you realise your comments make you look like the personification of every negative stereotype about video game players.

What's the phrase I'm looking for? Right, "Capital G Gamer".

Also, your comments about a game you've likely never played are worthless, though, judging by your comments about the story/ characters of TLOU2, your comments about games you have played are also worthless, so not a big surprise there.

    • +2

      Abby rules.

  • +9

really good game aside from a little bit of a hamfisted ending. but top tier for sure. the criticisms were bogus.

    • +8

Yeah I agree, this game was really good… I liked it even better than the first. Don’t believe the hate around this.

    • +5

Agree. I loved the first game and heard there were a lot of criticisms about this one, but didn't read them until I finished the game to avoid biasing/spoiling it for myself. After finishing and reading the criticisms, I very much disagreed with them.

    • +4

idk, I thought the ending was fantastic and nuanced. Lots of layers to it and ways to interpret.

      • not the ending per se but more that final 'mission' if you will in relation to the character arc, and the final 'battle' i found jarring. should have fed the goats and we're done. overall I really enjoyed the game.

        • that said I did enjoy being able to go a little HAM in that final section with the weapons, maybe at the expense of the story.

        • Ah okay. I don't know if 'jarring' is the right word, I think it was the only real way things were going to come to a head.

    • +2

I disagree with the criticisms, but having finished the game cannot say I enjoyed it.

Too much unleavened misery for me.

      • +1

Good point. It was a very miserable and bleak game. With no uplift at the end. Took me by surprise actually. TLOU1 had an excellent ending

  • -2

Amazon won’t match it. They have the Steelbook and the normal edition for $31 each.

Normal edition was $43 and still was selling very good (was in the top 100 too bestsellers).

  • +5

    Excellent game, no-brainer for $9.

  • +2

SteelBook Edition is $31 at Amazon

  • +2

This had to be a price error. It wasn’t up for long and this is often the price The Last Of Us: Remastered drops down to.

  • +2

    For $9 that's a steal
The game stumbled pretty hard in regards to its story, but just about everything else is firing on all cylinders. The graphics, the music, the gameplay, the animation, and even the motion capture performances are excellent. If you come in with tempered expectations this game is still a lot of fun; definitely soured by the story but not enough to outright ruin it.

    • +4

Agreed the narrative while good in parts didn't live up to the first for me but the gameplay was upgraded entirely. I don't tend to revisit games ever but due to the story these will 100% be replayed in full

      • +2

I think it was always going to be up against it story-wise. Topping the original TLOU is a big ask, and probably not a fair expectation to put on ANY game, even a sequel. The first one also had the advantage of being a new IP without any real expectation on it. I went in kind of expecting "Uncharted with zombies", and it was certainly not that. I've been gaming for 40 years and the original TLOU is my favourite of all time (in fact I'm currently in the middle of playing it again right now on PS5). That said, I did enjoy the story of TLOU2 as well, just not quite as much as the first.

But good lord it is just beautifully made. The amount of attention lavished on every single tiny detail is the kind of thing most developers wouldn't even think of, let alone have the resources to actually pull off. The only game I can think of that even comes close in that regard is Red Dead Redemption 2.

        • currently replaying rdr2 in 4k xD

          • @abuch47: As much as I liked that game, it just went on too damn long for a second play through to be something I would consider :P I do occasionally jump in there for a quick half hour of just riding around, admiring the scenery (it is a stunning looking game) and shooting a few people, but that's about as far as it goes. Never been interested in the multiplayer side of it, either.

            • @AngusD: the ultra high def single player scenery is the main reason I bought it again, the first chapter going from snow to spring mountains was wild.

            • @AngusD: Single hit kills + infinite crafting + infinite ammo will make it much more replayable. Removes all the tedium

  • Shucks! Missed out. Don't even have a PS4.

  • +1

    I paid $19 in Big W October ,2020 didn't regret it.

  • According to heaps of FB posts I've seen, this is a really good game.

  • Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of this and can PM me please?

  • -2

literally trying to get rid of stock of this crap now rofl

  • +3

Really good game, don't listen to the haters.

    • +1

Yep, the story was a totally different approach. Studies on perception, human nature etc. the zombie apocalypse part was really just a backdrop this time. The first game made the apocalypse the main character, the morbid fascination of the slow but sure demise of humanity and how that would look on a grand scale. Totally different stories for totally different audiences - that’s why part 2 seems so controversial based on reviews alone.

  • Missed out :(. This is actually a really good price even if you don't like the game.

  • Whoa! What hell, now that’s a deal.

  • +1

Bought this for $19 last Christmas during Amazon sale, ended up trading it in for $40 to EB which I used to buy Ratchet and Clank on PS5.

This is the only AAA game released in the last 12 months that has been discounted to such a massive extent. Went to $19 6 months after release, and now $9 6 months later. Compare this to the other first party Sony releases over that time frame… Ghost of Tsushima and Miles Morales and none of them have been subject to such heavy discounting so quickly after release. I wonder why.

    • +1

Usually a massive supply of discs that need to be cleared out. These prices have not been seen on digital.

    • +2

Ah yes, the fastest selling PS4 exclusive. It isn't anything to do with its quality lol, best game I've ever played.
