so many 1 start reviews saying parts don't fit

    • I bought last year paid $299 no dramas other than Courier took 2 weeks to deliver

    • I have no issues with this, but honestly feel that many people won't have a clue how to put this together as the instructions are rubbish.
From memory came with printed instructions which had different procedures to the on-line ones.
I recall getting towards the end, realising when parts didn't fit I stuffed up back at the start and had to pull it apart.

Why is it that this guy in so many other cheap gym equipment product pictures?

    • +1

The head is photoshopped onto the body.

Over 60% of reviews being 1 or 2 stars should tell you everything you need to know.

…and that too on their own plateform. Looks like Kogan is working on their honesty policy.

I got this for 299. Absolutely shocking. Wouldn't pay 100 for it again.

    • Curiously, what would you change to make it acceptable?
I don't mean gym-buff training suitable, I mean typical home user, half an hour a day, getting arm and leg reps in?

Fly, row, leg lits, shoulder press. the basics.

The quality is the issue. Everything bends, the cables stretch, none of the parts fit together correctly.
Any rep you do, it takes half your extension to pick up the slack making it useless. The creaking noises and parts bending above your head will leave you using this as a drying line.

        • Right, fair enough. I guess thats why Bowflex has such a huge market for home users with low budgets.
I know they're a resistance system, not a plate system, but literally zero of those issues exist on the 3 or so that mates own, that Ive used.

I'll keep looking for 2nd hand.

          appreciate the reply.

    Too expensive for cloth hanger

Buy for $209, paypal dispute = free?

    • It's not free when you consider the environmental impact of such buying.

  • +1

What is annoying is that this setup would be great for most people to do some basic lifting.
All they would have to do is improve the quality just a bit and it would sell so well.
I'd love to have this in my home

    • It’s cheap. What is wrong with it?

  • +1

The price is the biggest red flag from the go.

  • Oils aint oils. You get what you pay for etc etc.

Home gyms are fantastic, but don't buy cheap exercise equipment with moving parts.

  • Anyone recommend a good rower please ?

  • dont bother purchased last time and was absolute trash

  • A bit off topic, but as far as Kogan exercise equipment goes, I have been enjoying my 40kg adjustable dumbbells a lot. A few less moving parts than this contraption though.
