Phone not receiving calls whilst on a call

Hey everyone,
I've looked everywhere to find information to no avail

I have a OnePlus 7 pro and with my current telco provider i am unable to receive calls when on a call, let alone switch between calls

Has anyone encounter this issue before?
Any assistance would be appreciated

    Check your call waiting is activated?

      Bingo that did it! You are a gentleman and a scholar

      I can get notified of calls during calls now which is fantastic but I can't switch between calls or put someone on hold

      Any ideas?

        If you're on 1 call it should show the other ringing and usually you just choose to swap calls?

          Yes that's exactly right, thanks to you now I can see someone calling during a call but when I try and switch (accept and hold)it says "can't switch calls"

    Have you enabled google voice calling?

    I know both should ring, but I've found that sometimes when my reception is weak, it'll ring on my google home and not even bother on my phone

    Be a real ozbargainer, and rant about the phone being broken and threaten to call ACCC to get a new phone under ACL…. Jokes.

    What telco provider you are with? If it is anything like Catch / Coles, then they don't offer the Call Waiting facility.

        Pretty sure in the amaysim app you can go into settings and click call waiting etc etc

      as of july 2022 if you type *43# on your dial pad it activates call waiting on coles mobile

    Single or Dual Sim version?

    1. A/A check the call waiting settings.
    2. If dual sim, you will need to check the diversion settings and enable the 'both sim' active option (or whatever it is listed as on your handset).
    3. Like those comments that help. (Not this post - this post will be a waste of time).
    4. Return to the forum and comment.
    5. A/A whinge about a $#17 product not working straight up! :)

    Remove your SIM card from One plus and insert in another mobile (like Samsung/Oppo/iphone etc.) Dial *43# (for Vodafone) and press call. Call Waiting gets activated.
    Check your call waiting in Samsung/Oppo/Iphone etc. . If it gets activated. Then remove your SIM card from another phone and insert back in One Plus mobile. Afterwards call waiting will work in One plus also.
    Try This, you will succeed.
