If you need two pairs the 40% works out a little better than most online prices with the advantage of trying them on.

I would suggest removing the above wiki reference to Luxottica. Luxottica sure do manufacture sunglasses, but have nothing to do with otticanet. Don't mislead people into thinking there is a direct association with the manufacturer.
Hmm definitely misleading, I have poorly worded my post.
What I meant was that Sunglass Hut is owned by Luxottica (no association with otticanet) and if you manage to find a pair of sunnies cheaper elsewhere from a legit source with a convenient return policy, go for it and do not employ any loyalty to them.

Pretty sure Otticanet and Shadesdaddy are legit, might be a good starting point. I bought a pair of polarized RayBans on eBay once, but only from super-dooper feedback US seller, and my Wayfarers I bought from Sunglass Hut on a similar deal to this couple of years back. 40% off takes the price down to close to online legit sources.

Thanks jacksonyork, just got a pair of ray bans and dkny sunglasses. Checked otticanet after I brought them home and they were exactly the same price after discount, and this way I got to try them on to check for comfort and take them home immediately :)
I bought them from sunglasses 4 U mistaking it for a "sunglass hut" kiosk. So congrats to them for honouring the voucher even though they didn't need to. I knew I was paying $40 premium to support local stockists ($181 vs $140 (shipping included) most online stores vs $119 at otticanet http://www.otticanet.it/ray-ban.cfm?p_codice_occhiale=WAYFAR…)
FYI I bought the folding wayfarers with a RRP of $259.95 reduced to around $181 which is in the middle of the otticanet price and full price.

What? Why would anyone buy sunglasses from sunglasses hut? They are ridiculously over priced! I bought a GOOD pair of sunnies (serengetis) online for $300 less than they were at sunglasses hut. So unless you've got a 75% off voucher, why bother? Go to amazon…

sometimes the $50 off voucher is better if you just want one pair, that you get for signing up to their mail list. Still exclusions though.
